Theme: No distraction from the focus on the Word of God. The church was increasing in numbers and there was enthusiasm, but an unexpected problem arose. This issue had the potential to distract them from the Word, but the apostles organized and they willingly gave up power and prestige to keep God’s Word central. The sense of the church is that the Word of God continues to be preached.
