We started this church one year ago because God asked us to; it=s really that simple.
As many of you know I was a pilot for one of the big 5 global airlines making more than 100,000 a year and fast on my way to making over $200,000 a year with a multi-million dollar retirement.
God asked Mariah and I to walk away from that and serve Him by serving you and so that=s what we did.
I know people who shake their head and ask me why?
As I said it=s very simple, I did it because I love God, not because I=m a great teacher, or speaker or because I enjoy standing up in front of a group of people.
It has nothing to do with me being a good guy or a mature Christian.
In fact it has little to do with me at all, because I did not do it for me or because of me.
I was in downtown Manhattan, just a few blocks north of the World Trade Center the morning before 9~/11.
Several men believed that the God they served would be pleased if they murdered thousands of civilian men, women and children.
The God those particular men served is known to us as Satan.
I was back there just a few days after the attack, walking the streets of New York City at that time was sobering.
The dark smoke was still billowing from ground zero and the people were still in shock.
Every store and restaurant window had photos of family and friends who had lost their lives.
A block north of my hotel was one of the fire stations that had responded, literally dozens of their buddies had perished and a continual flow of people were giving the survivors flowers and pictures.
People wept and they prayed.
The next morning I flew to Seattle.
Many people in that city were still disbelieving and angry, but truth be told, life went on.
The difference in the atmosphere between these two cities is hard to overstate.
Yet the survivors in New York were never in any more danger on 9~/11 than the people in Seattle.
The majority of people in New York didn’t know the victims any better than the people of Seattle knew them and yet this massive difference.
Why?
Perspective is why I gave up my career that I had worked so hard to secure.
From my perspective I owe God everything and it=s not just words or lip service.
My favorite song is Amazing Grace because I literally was blind and lost; I was dead and God through His Amazing Grace gave me new life and so how can I withhold anything from Him.
What do you owe God?
Your answer has nothing to do with reality it only has to do with your perception of reality.
The Truth is that you owe God every bit as much as I do it=s only a matter of whether you recognize that Truth.

--Disclaimer I tell this not to impress or shock or feed any desire to hear Athe dirt@ but only to build up your faith and understanding of the unending love of GOD.

\\ ~*~*~*~* There are two types of great testimony: Bad and good
~*~*~*~* This is not a story about me, it’s a story about God.
Please don’t miss that fact.
~*~*~*~* You may think this guy got away with all of these things and now it’s alright because he’s a Pastor.
No guarantees and no forgetting.
--During Paul=s two-year imprisonment in Caesarea, Luke stayed with Philip and did a great deal of his research for this Gospel.
He interviewed Apostles and other eyewitnesses to include Jesus= family.
So in Luke we have glimpses of Jesus= childhood and ministry found nowhere else, to include the following parable, or lesson.
--SINNERS gathered, RELIGIOUS leaders muttered, AThis man welcomes sinners and eats with them@ so JESUS relates 3 stories to show GOD=S NATURE.
This is the last of the three.
LUKE 15:11

| 11Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons.
12The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’
So he divided his property between them.
13“Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
14After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.
15So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.
16He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17“When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!
18I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.’ 20So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
21“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.
I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick!
Bring the best robe and put it on him.
Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
23Bring the fattened calf and kill it.
Let’s have a feast and celebrate.
24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’
So they began to celebrate.
25“Meanwhile, the older son was in the field.
When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.
26So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on.
27‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’
28“The older brother became angry and refused to go in.
So his father went out and pleaded with him.
29But he answered his father, ‘Look!
All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders.
Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.
30But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’
31“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.
32But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”
