Spiritual Gifts

So here we are continuing our series on spiritual gifts where we are diving in to God’s word to see the gifts that he has given to us to serve him in the most effective manner.
this week we are going to start on the primary gift that God has given to us. We are going to start is the Gift of Prophecy.

Prophecy

Romans 12:6 CSB
6 According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s faith;
We see this in many of the letter Paul write where he mentions the gift that our given to us. As we see this passage that one of the main gifts that is offered is the gift of Prophecy.
Rather than get in to the small details that comes with the gift of prophecy we are going to talk about the main idea and how to apply it to our lives when it comes to having this gift and allowing it to manifest in to something that produces good fruit.
We see throughout the bible the types of People who had the gift to tell prophecy.
Samuel
Joseph - Could interpret dreams
Daniel - Could interpret dreams
Isaiah
John
As we go through this we see that God used these people in ways to intact his will.
So the big question is what exactly is prophecy?
I can tell you that it is not being able to see the future. The gift of prophecy is being able to see everything that is going on around them and being able to see where God is moving and how to Achieve his plan. When we look at these people throughout the bible we see that knew what it was that God was doing at the time.
Joseph- Was able to interpret a dream to see that famine was coming and how to prepare for it.
Samuel- Saw that God was building the Kingdom that he blessed.
Daniel- Was able to interpret the kings dream to see the rise and fall of rulers.
Isaiah- Was the main foretellers of the coming of Christ.
John- Wrote the book of revelations.
The one thing that the all had in common was they were able to see where God was moving and follow that path.

How To Get Active

Often time we ask ourselves I know what my gifts are but how do I use them to serve God. There is one passage that we will be focusing on as go throughout this study to help us understand what it is we are suppose to do.
Romans 12:1–2 CSB
1 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
We are to transform ourselves in a manner that shows glory to God. Being able to see where God is move and being able to show others.
As young Adults often it can be hard to see where God is moving but someone has this gift and it is up to you to actively be looking for the area that God is moving to serve him.

Audience Of One

The Question becomes how are you serving that Audience of One
