Go ahead and get your Bibles. Open it up 2nd Corinthians chapter 13 verses 5 through 9 in the Bible says examine yourselves whether you be in the faith prove your improve your own selves Yogi, not your own selves how that Jesus Christ is in you except GB reprobates, but I trust that you shall know that we are not retro reprobates. Now, I pray to God that ye do no evil. Not that we should appear approved but that we have excuse me that but that ye should do that, which is honest. Though we be as Rich reprobate for we can do nothing against the truth before the truth for we are glad when we are weak and you are strong and this also we wish even your profection.

First reading our first I text that we have I the King James Bible right now. And if you if you don't know how this format is laid out in 365 days of Spurgeon. He gives us a verse that what he his text that he has why has this whole sermon and then he gives another Fortune to call further reading which is this that we emphasizes the points that were I'm going to explain a little bit later. So let me go ahead and tell you that the beginning increase and end of the Divine Life is messy and that it was delivered by Charles Spurgeon on April 29th in the year of 1860 extra Holland strand. This is just an excerpt of it. This is not the whole sermon the whole sermons actually about 7 to 10 pages long. So this is quite short. Compared to the whole sermon and this is just one one thought really that's out of the whole sermon the author just grab. One thought that was a part of that sermon and basted the pond with we're going to be hearing today and it goes if that works save. Though the date be erased yet. Do you dial rejoice and China Triumph Evermore in the Lord? Thy God true. There are some of us who can remember the precise spot where we first found the savior. The day will never be forgotten when these eyes look to the Cross of Christ and found their cheers all wiped away. But thousands in the fold of Jesus known. When they were brought in enough for them to know they are there. Let them feed upon the pastor. Let them lie down beside the Still Waters for whether they came by night or by day. They did not come at a forbidden hour. Whether they came in youth or an old-age it matters not at times are expected accepted with God and whosoever cometh when I come he when he met he will in no wise cast out. Does it not strike you as being very foolish reasoning if you should say in your heart. I am not converted because I do not know when Nae with such reasoning as that I could prove that old Rome was never built because the precise date of her building is unknown. We might declare that the world was never made for its exact age. Even the geologist cannot tell us.

We might prove that Jesus Christ himself never died for the precise date on which he expired on the tree is lost Beyond recovery nor does it signify much to us? We know the world was made, you know that tries to die. And so you if you are now reconciled to God if now you're trembling arms are cast around that cross you two are saved. Through the beginning was so small that you cannot tell when it was indeed in living things. It is hard to put the finger upon the beginning and that's that's the excerpt that we got from the sermon that the whole sermon that he gave it gave that that morning. In the verse he pulled this from is the Book of Job in chapter 8 verses 7 those I beginning was small yet by ladder should greatly increase.

And I thought is an ongoing frisson experienced in the past without a crisis experienced in the past is far more valid than an isolated prices experienced in the past without the evidence of an ongoing Christ experience in the past.

When I first looked at this and I thought about this I had a breakdown that statement into different sections. And the first part was an ongoing Christ experience in the past without a price prices experienced in the past. So an ongoing crisis experience right now and not having a crisis experiences a pass. That's the point. Is more valid than a isolated crisis experience in the pass without the evidence of an ongoing crisis experience in the present? So when you break this down. If right now. You have a crisis experience. Without any Trace, I mean without a crisis in experience in your pass. That lot greater. then an isolated experienced a crisis experienced in the past without the evidence of an ongoing price experience.

If you're going through the experience right now the crisis right now presently, okay. and in the future You're not you don't have the christ-like or du Christ walk that you did before this crisis.

What does happen? his word bring this to The crisis that were in right now knowing that we have Christ and knowing that we can go through this compared to the crisis has that we may have had before or not having a crisis before. We should be stronger in the present crisis and in the future. We should still be strong or even stronger in our walk with Christ. I want to bring it to the again to the first part of the text that we read and 2nd Corinthians chapter 13 verses 5 through 9. And keep that thought that I just gave you. And a quiet too when I'm about to read examine yourselves whether you be in the faith prove your own selves, Noe not your own selves. How that Jesus Christ is in you except he be reprobates now reprobates meaning the Castaway unqualified.

y'all just Just not part, okay.

If you examine yourself.

What is your fate? If you can sit here and evaluate yourself, where is your faith? Is your faith 100% on Jesus Christ? Or do you share that faith that you have for Jesus Christ for other things? other hobbies for other loves for other distractions so know your own self know he's not your own selves how that Christ is in you set CB reprobate so price price knows exactly how you are he knows everything

so if you think your YouTube convinced yourself that I'm giving 100% for Christ's right now and you know you're really nice and you think you're going to fake it to Christ himself No, it's not going to happen. The lady on the verse says I buy trust that you shall know that you are not retro reprobates. They are not Castaways. Now, I pray to God that you do know either not that you should have pure approved but you should have proved that you should do that, which is honest though. We be as retro reprobate that you are not reprobates at hey, you're not a Castaway. You're a you're part of the family of God, OK and now I pray to God that you do no evil. So as a family member of God that you don't do any evil, but also not to show appeared approved meaning that you showed that. Hey, I'm trying I'm prove. I'm a hottie that you don't have a haughty attitude. Okay, an egotistical attitude, but that you should do that which is honest. So do which is honest be true to yourself. Don't say hahaha. I have Jesus Christ. Nothing's going to happen to me. Okay, don't don't Pure Hockey. But that you should do that which is honest. So be true, okay. Cuz if you're not true to yourself, it's as though we be as retro Bates reprobate. So if you're not true, you're a reprobate. You're a Castaway. You're not acting like a child of God. You're acting like a Castaway like an unsaved person. So you really have to examine yourself and say where is your faith? And if you know where your face is that is that Faith honest and in the same picture that Christ has of you. Okay, because you know if you're not giving if you're not sold out for Christ. And there is that distraction then you need to evaluate yourself in that just what needs to be adjusted. because he knows No one else knows except him so you may fake it to other people. You know other people may think all your holy. Christian and you know, you walk the talk and Yak The Walk. And you and you'll appear approved meaning you appear that you're you're you're you're cocky. But you're not being honest. And you're just like someone who's not even saved. And that's when I first read this these verses here. I was kind of like, I mean, I've heard these verses for years and I spoken on them and you know had conversations but

Just talkin by myself to this microphone. I just coming to the realization, you know.

It's how we how we are in truth with Christ. It's not a show. It's not a show. because he knows and if you're trying to play the cool cat.

You're not taking them out. I will switch on some more of these versus here in 8 or 9 here for we can do nothing against the truth before the truth. For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong and this also we wish even your Perfection stuff. We cannot do anything against the truth. If you're if you truly have your faith in Jesus Christ, and you know, he's your personal savior. Can you do the self evaluation and you know that I'm not I'm not having a cocky attitude. I am going to be honest. I'm not going to be reprobate. I'm not going to act foolish. I'm not going to come like an outcast. I'm not going to act really I'm going to be with God wants me to be okay. Therefore you're doing the truth.

And when you are weak you are strong. So a lot of this if you're weak you are strong. So a lot of times we get into this tug and pool where we we want to push our especially with men where we want to push her attitude into a cocky. Haha kind of personality. Okay?

and we don't we don't portray ourselves in that humble, you know teaching kind of personality that we should be at and and there's nothing wrong with having humility and also having a good attitude.

You know, I was taught many years ago that the the strongest person in the meeting in a business meeting at times but not always the one that's talking. It's sometimes the one that doesn't say anything. and you know we have to be meek. And I'm strong in this also we wished even at the professional Perfection is being that being christ-like and we spoke a little we spoke a little bit about that yesterday trying to be more christ-like in our daily walk be more christ-like in our daily activities. This is just filling it one more step further that a lot to do with our attitude on how we have our relationship with Christ that we put it in check in from that from that relationship how we have the proper attitude and how we carry ourselves and with that we get the truth which is the relationship and the the blessings that he has for us, but also that were strong and that we we even strive with those things. We must strive more to be more like him. So I hope you enjoy today's podcast. I'm again. You can share this podcast just by clicking on the share button.
