HOOK

Did you liked the story of Jesus and Samaritan Woman?
From that narration of events we learned:
I Will Avoid Conrontation
I must be baptized
Jesus is 100% and 100% God
I will love beyond people beyond boundaries
Don’t take literally what was said spiritually
The Holy Spirit is the seal of my eternal life
I can worship God wherever
I will not just keep on believing Him, I will keep on knowing Him
I will worship Him in Spirit and in truth
I will tell people about Jesus
I will pray and look around for opportunities to bring people to Christ
I must share my life testimony
It is God’s words that saves not mine!
After staying in Samaria for two days, Jesus, along with his disciples continued with their journey to Galilee— remember that Samaria is somewhere in between Judea and Galilee— in a moment I will show you an interactive map— to help you visualize the geographic location of these places mentioned in the Bible
Open your Bible— still in chapter 4— we will resume at verse 43

BOOK

John 4:43–54 NIV
43 After the two days he left for Galilee. 44 (Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) 45 When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, for they also had been there. 46 Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. 47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. 48 “Unless you people see signs and wonders,” Jesus told him, “you will never believe.” 49 The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” 50 “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.” The man took Jesus at his word and departed. 51 While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. 52 When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.” 53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed. 54 This was the second sign Jesus performed after coming from Judea to Galilee.

A PROPHET HAS NO HONOR IN HIS OWN COUNTRY [in his own Hometown]
While they were still enroute from Samaria to Galilee— Jesus already His disciples this— and later on , after healing the official’s son, at the synagogue in His hometown in Nazareth— after declaring that He was the One referred to by Isaiah in his writings in the scrolls that He just read— people begun to asked, isn’t this Joseph’s son?
And after some exchange of words— all the people in the synagogue were furious
Luke 4:28–30 NIV
28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. 29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. 30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.
SHOW A SYNAGOGUE
BEGGED HIM TO COME AND HEAL HIS SON
It is very typical of people to beg only when they’re in a near-death situation
UNLESS YOU PEOPLE SEE SIGNS AND WONDERS, YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE
Last Sunday I just talked about Thomas who doubted the resurrected Jesus— to see is to believe
SIR COME DOWN BEFORE MY CHILD DIES
You can feel the urgency on the request of the royal official
GO, YOUR SON WILL LIVE
That is the pure Jesus power— there’s healing in His words— in another incident, a centurion [Roman Officer] said, just say the word and my servant will be healed— this also happened in Capernaum
Matthew 8:8 NIV
8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
THE FATHER REALIZED THAT THIS WAS THE EXACT TIME
If it is His will— His timing is neither early or late— His timing is always perfect
HE AND HIS WHOLE HOUSEHOLD BELIEVED
When people see someone healed spiritually or physically— people come to the faith

TOOK

THERE IS POWER OF HEALING IN THE WORDS OF JESUS
The psalmist implied that Yahweh’s healing is sent through His words
Psalm 107:20 NIV
20 He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.
JESUS IS NEITHER EARLY NOR LATE
Prophet Habakkuk said something about God’s timing— though he was referring to the fulfillment of a vision [message or prophecy]— but the principle is still applicable— that God’s timing is perfect!
Habakkuk 2:3 NCV
3 It is not yet time for the message to come true, but that time is coming soon; the message will come true. It may seem like a long time, but be patient and wait for it, because it will surely come; it will not be delayed.
