Billy Graham, looking over the 200 persons who had come to hear him at a University of Minnesota student-faculty meeting, remarked that many had come just out of curiosity. With a smile he added, “I can always count on the department of psychology showing up in full force.”

You can always count on those with their scientific study of the mind and behavior to show up out of curiosity, to see if what the preacher is saying has any logic or facts. They show up to if this Jesus you are talking about is real. According to science, when the doctor or coroner pronounces you dead, its wrap, its all over.
This is what the disciples last situation concerning Jesus. He was dead! But over the course of about 48 hours everything had changed.
Jesus has risen and He and the angel have sent word by the women for His brothers to meet Him in Galilee. In route some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priest everything that took place. They assembled themselves with the elders and took counsel. The decided to give the soldiers a considerable amount of money to fabricate a story, saying His disciples came at night and stole him, while they were sleep. They said they would deal with the governor, if it got to him, and keep them out of trouble. Amazingly they take the money and the story was spread among the Jews for years.
Jesus will meet you when you show up at the appointed place of the meeting.

The Meeting

The Obedience of the Disciples
The message of the angel to women
The message of Jesus to the women
They were there to meet the risen Jesus
The place of the meeting
The meet Jesus in the same city where he started his ministry.
Instead of the seaside, he meets on the mountain.
They meet at the place where Jesus designates.
He appointed this mountain.
They were all from Galilee.
A familiar place
Ministry should start at home. then abroad

The Disciples Reaction

The Disciple do the same thing but with different experiences.
The Worship
They all do it.
They all bow down.
They may have all taken hold of his feet.
The Doubt
The text says some, not all.
Some of them worship without any reservation.
Some of them lack confidence in the message, they had doubts about message.
But some still didn’t believe it to be true or certain that He was resurrected, however this meeting experience may have convinced them.
Let’s face it we all show up to meet Jesus week after week.
We all worship Him to some degree.
But some of you may show up wondering if He will really show Himself to be alive.
Able to help you in your situation.
And the fact that you obediently showed up to worship, the Lord had a word for you.
A song for you.
A hug for you.
A smile for you
And this experience convinced you that we worship a risen savior.
One who the grave couldn’t hold.
Death couldn’t keep Him down.
When Moses received a word from the Lord God. He met on the mountain and there he received instructions from God.
The disciples met Jesus on the mountain and there Jesus gave them instructions on how make disciples. How to evangelize. How to enlist. How to educate.
When you meet the Lord at church, it’s there that He give you instructions, so that you can go into all the world and tell somebody about Jesus, the risen Savior.
The one who died for their sins.
But listen, if you fail to show up at the meeting with the master, you will miss the message. And you can’t/won’t go to the people, if you don’t have the message.
The message that Jesus has all power in heaven and in earth.
You can’t make disciples if you aren’t one.
You can’t evangelize without a message.
You can’t enlist if you don’t belong.
You can’t educate, if you don’t know what you’re talking about.
