We opened this series learning of the Light of Man.

We learned that Christ as the creator was also the very witness of light to us. We tried to focus on Christ who he was and how that should effect each of us. I trust that was a blessing to you.
Today we are going to focus on two main thoughts The first is what we should be doing in light of knowing Christ. The second is a deeper look into who Christ is to man.

Our Job Knowing Christ

Much like John we are to live for the glory of Christ and not our own. This should drive us to be witnesses of Christ and not of ourself.

John was sent by God to bear witness of Jesus Christ. He devoted his life to making sure all men could hear about Jesus Christ, the Light of men. The way of salvation. In doing so John was willing to give everything he had that Christ would go forward.

You may not be called into a full time ministry position but God has called you at the point of salvation to be a witness.

This should create in us an urgency to make sure everyone we know has an opportunity to hear about Christ, the Messiah, the Light of Man the object of our worship and our salvation. Our life should be defined as through our witness men might believe in Christ!
Our job in sharing Christ is just as important as the sharing of John. We are to be witnesses of the fact that Christ has the power to remove sin from our life and give us eternal life rather than eternal separation from God.
Much like John in verse 8 we must remember that we are not the light but the light is Christ thus all the glory belongs with him and not us as the witness he uses.

A Deeper Look into Christ.

Light can only come unto man by Christ. It can also be assumed that through his witnesses Christ intended to be shown to the entire world.

The Creator came to live with the creation!

Christ left his perfect seat in heaven to live amongst us. He first came unto his own the Jew but being recieved not. Christ was not welcomed in synagouges but taught on the streets.

We see that even though Moses gave the Law Christ came to give grace and truth.

The truth can be defined as Gods Word, and Gods truth. Grace was the fact that God would see fit to give Christ on our behalf which will be covered further in this book.

We finally see that Christ came to share God to the World via his decleration.

Christ declared God the father both through his teachings and how he lived his life. Christ as a witness of God lived his life according. We as witnesses of Christ should live according to his life.
