We've been talking about t VISION for our church. In t last 2 weeks we've talked about Prayer being a Vision for this Church, & Praise &  worship.

   I. We want to see people enter into Praise & Worship, not just here in church but during t times that you're not here.

       A. At t most you're only here 3 times a week, that's not enough time to be worshiping our Lord.

            1. So our vision is for all of us to be that true worshipper  of God.

       B. It's also equally important to us to see people enter into  prayer.

            1. Yes, we prayer here, but that not enough.

                a. We need to spend quality time in prayer w/ t Father every day.

                b. We brought out t fact that people always want to do t minimum.

                     i. Minimum in there job, minimum in there work for  God, minimum in there church attendance, minimum in there giving, & minimum in there prayer life.

ii. (MAT 6:33) Says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

            2. In (Mark 14:37‑38 KJV) It says, "And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? (38) Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly {is} ready, but the flesh {is} weak.

                a. T word "Watch" means "stay awake."

                 b. Jesus was telling His disciples to stay awake & pray  one hour.

                     i. Is that to much for t Lord to ask of us to pray 1 hour a day?

ii. T spirit is willing but t flesh is weak.

II. T 3rd part of our VISION for t Church is for all of us to be filled w/ t Word of God.

       A. T Word can accomplish in your life all that t person of Jesus  can.

            1. (John 1:1) says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

                a. (V 14) says, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us."

            2. Your attitude about t Word is your attitude about Jesus, because Jesus is t Word.  B. T Word of God is referred as water, bread, milk, & meat ‑‑ It's what you need to grow spiritually.

       C. It is inspired by God.

            1. 1PE 1:23‑25

                a. Peter said that we are "BORN AGAIN, not of  corruptible seed."

                     i. "Not of corruptible seed", means not from  natural seed.

                     ii. Not a natural birth.

                b. But we are born again of incorruptible seed.

                     i. How did we get "born again"?

ii. It was thru or by the word of God.

                c. Then Peter goes on to say that it is alive & it  abides forever.

            2. 2TI 3:16

                a. Every V that we have in t Bible is inspired by God.

                     i. T word "inspired" from t Strong's means "divinely breathed in: ‑given by inspiration of God."

ii. I like that "divinely breathed in."

iii. God divinely spoke His Words into t hearts of

men by t H.S. as they wrote them down.

                b. Why do we need t Word of God?

                     i. V 17  "That the man of God may be perfect  (complete), thoroughly furnished (fully equipped) unto all good works."

ii. Or, fully equipped to do all that you should be

doing for t Lord.

iii. T word of God gives you supernatural equipment.

III.  Why is t Word of God so important?

       A. JOHN 15:3

            1. T Word of God will cleanse you.

            2. (Eph 5:25‑27) "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, (27) That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."

(v.26)  a. Christ sanctified and cleansed t Church by t Word. B. T Word of God will cleanse you, & it will also heal you.

            1. PSA 107:20

            2. In (Matt 8:5‑8) it says, "And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, (6) And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. (7) And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. (8) The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

(v.8) a. Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

                b. He sent His Word to heal.

       C. ACT 20:32

            1. Paul said that t Word of God is able to build you up, and  to give you an inheritance.

            2. T Word can also be used to set you free. John 8:32

       D. T Word of God can also be used as a weapon against t Devil.

            1. Look at MATT 4:4, 7, 10

                a. What did Jesus do to fight off t Devil?  He used t Word of God.

            2. EPH 6:17_

                a. T Word of God is a Sword to be used against t Devil.

                b. It can be used for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

                     i. But it should not be used against one another.

IV. Now what are some of t things that God says about His Word?

       A. Well, 1st of all we already read in (1PE 1:23) That the Word of God is incorruptible.

            1. (PRO 30:5) Says that t Word is PURE.

       B. But God said more than that about His Word.  ISA 55:11

            1. God's Word, when it goes forth, will not return void.

                 a. That's 1 reason why we need to speak out God's Word.

       C. (JER 1:12) Says, "I will hasten my word to perform it."

                a. God is going to perform His Word.

       D. (HEB 4:12) "For the word of God {is} quick, and powerful, and  sharper than any twoedged sword."

            1. You could say that t Word of God is LIVING, & POWERFUL. &  MIGHTIER THAN ANY WEAPON.

            2. (ROM 10:17) Says, "So then faith {cometh} by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (KJV)

                a. If you want to have faith, you need t Word of God.
