**/Just as/* the Children of */Israel/* */had many battles/* */in/* the */Promise Land/*, */we’re going to face the same thing/*.

**/As they had victory in their battles/*, */we too can have victory/*.

*/We don’t have to be defeated/*.

*In (*/Joshua 1:3/*) the */Lord said to Joshua/* “*/Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you/*.”

*This */promise/* also */applies to us/*.

**/One/* of the */key ingredients/* to */Joshua’s success/* was his */courage to carry out God’s Word/*.

**/Courage is a part of faith/*.

*/It’s seeing things through the eyes of God/*.

*It */takes courage/* to */step out on/* God’s */Word/*, */to act on God’s Word/*, */in/* the face of */conflict/*.

**/God instructed Joshua to have Courage/*.

**/God told Joshua/* in (*/JOSHUA 1:7/*), “*/Only be thou strong and very courageous/*.”

*Someone that has */courage/* */can be likened to an/ *“*/unsinkable spirit/*.”

**/No matter what happens/* in their life, the */bumps/* or the */attacks/* of the */enemy/*, they */always come back up/*.

**/These false prophets tried/* to */conjure up/* a */response from Baal/*, but */nothing happened/*.

**/When you trust in the wrong/, **/you’ll find yourself/ **/helpless in a time of need/*.
