I can't think of a better time of t year to say this, We need to have an ATTITUDE OF THANKSGIVING. 1st of all in (PSA 105:1) it tells us to give thanks to t Lord. In (PSA 103:1&2) it says, "Bless the Lord, O my soul." T word "BLESS" means "TO PRAISE, Salute, or TO THANK."

      I. Thursday is Thanksgiving & that is a reminder that we are to be thankful for all that God has done.

                  A. But we shouldn't wait for once a year to be thankful, we should be doing that every day.

                              1. Turn to 1PET 2:9 This V tells us that we are a royal priesthood. We are a priest unto our God.

                              2. In (1CH 23:30) It tells us that t priest were to stand every morning & evening to thank and praise the Lord.

                              3. That's now our job, we should be thanking our God daily.

                  B. In (ROM 1:8) Paul said, "First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all."

                              1. Paul's giving it an area of extreme importance.

                              2. ? Shouldn't we?

                  C. In (1CO 1:4) Paul said, "I thank my God always on your behalf."

                              1. In (1TH 2:13) He said, "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing."

II. Back in PSA 103 we find a # of things to thank God for.  In (V 3) it says, "Who forgiveth all thine iniquities."

                  A. That's a good reason to thank God for.

                              1. PSA 103:10-12

                              2. God has removed our sin so far us that He doesn't even remember them.

                  B. JER 31:31‑34  These Vs. here are all talking about t new covenant, t new testament.

                              1. HEB 8:8‑12

                              2. HEB 10:15‑17

                              3. This is something that we have to be thankful for, t forgiveness of sin.

III. Back in text (PSA 103:3) It says, "who healeth all thy diseases;" (KJV)

                  A. One of these days we'll teach on the subject of healing, but because of time we're not going to get into it today, except to quote a few Vs.

                              1. (EXO 15:26) Says, "For I {am} the Lord that healeth thee." (KJV)

                              2. (ISA 53:5) Says, “But he {was} wounded for our transgressions, {he was} bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace {was} upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

                              3. (MAT 8:17) Says, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare {our} sicknesses."

                              4. (1PE 2:24) Says, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." (KJV)

                  B. Healing is ours, it's been provided for us, & it's something to be thankful for.

IV. (PSA 103:4) SAYS, "Who redeemeth thy life from destruction."

                  A. God delivers us from destruction & evil.

                              1. PSA 91:1‑11

                                          a. (V. 3) says that "He shall DELIVER thee."

                                          b. (V. 10) says that "There shall no evil befall thee."

                              2. In (PSA 23:4) It says, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou {art} with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." (KJV)

                  B. We've got something to be thankful for.

      V. Back in (PSA 103:5) It says, "Who satisfieth thy mouth with good {things; so that} thy youth is renewed like the eagle's." (KJV)

                  A. There's 2 good things in that V. First of all it says that God will give us good things.

                              1. JAMES 1:17  God only gives us good & perfect gifts.

                                          a. If it's not a good gift or a perfect gift, it's not from God.

                              2. (MAT 7:11) Says, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (KJV)

                  B. We have a lot to be thankful for, more than what's written here in PSA 103. You could probable go on w/ a long list, you could be thankful for things like; Your house, your family, your children, t Church, your job, your health, that you have food on your table, thankful for Jesus, & t list goes on.

                              1. LUKE 10:20 This is one of the most important, thankful that our names are written in heaven.

                              2. (EPH 5:20) "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;" (KJV)

                              3. Turn w/ me to this last scripture 1CO 15:57

                                          a. (1TH 5:18) Says, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (KJV)
