Started this morning though. If you noticed if you can go to that place here in just a minute. Please follow along. You can download the used to devices. I'm not real sharp on all of that. But the face life study Bible in our app, you can follow along and see the slides that I record on the Church website. You can kind of watch it as it goes along also on our Facebook group and our Facebook page uploaded the outline. You can follow along and everything for their and soaks. Just wanted to pass that little bit of information on to you. Also. You can also get to your face swap. Com Kentucky mbc1 give and you can do your tithes and offerings there tonight is the benevolent fund and so remember that as you give to be Go to give to these other funds next Sunday will also be our mission offering and then the first of the month will be our building fund offering and so we are so very glad that you are here. If you test it came in. Remember the Dorothy Keesler family, they passed away with covid-19 this week. And so do remember them. I I have some others and asked to pray for her for them and all of those that have elderly parents that they are unable to go and see and physically check on. I know it's a very hard and very difficult. I understand the relationship there between the child and the parents and also as a pastor in a church member not being able to physically check on y'all and everything y'all have been just tremendous through this whole entire deal at and hopefully pray for prayerfully if we keep on praying and go then looks like maybe two possibly three weeks and the band is going to be lifted. We can try to start getting back to some type of normal. So I don't know how exactly it's going to work out. I know the first time that we can meet at the church. We have to meet with less than 52 services not for sure. If we try to figure out the next stages and how we can work back into this getting back up in life. And remember also the Smith family, which is a relative of Joel and Mary Clark passed away this last weekend. And so remember that family my aunt passed away and they had a memorial service. And so remember the Taylor family on my mom's side of the family. And so remember them this week he is in hospice. And so continue to pray for them, of course all of our medical profession. We have many that are without jobs right now and don't know what's going to happen tomorrow or or anything else and so Just just there's plenty to pray for and so man and pray and lift it up and hears our prayers and he answers our prayers and so little bit of housekeeping there. And so if you have your Bibles this morning turn with me to 1st Peter chapter 2 First Peter chapter 2, we're going to be looking at Verse 18 through 25 this morning as we begin back and get back into our Peter and then I got to thinking man with this covid-19 or there's nothing better than where we are in 1st Peter right now. He said he knew about us being homebound before I ever decided. He led me to decide to go through 1st Peter. And so I kind of like to stick to what God in the Holy Spirit is doing rather than what I want. Last couple of weeks ago when we talked about the authorities are asking us to help slow down this virus and everything that we're going to talk about submission to our bosses. We know that it's a very trying time I talked to different employees and different ones. I know that there's a lot of people that have lost jobs. There's a lot of people in the workforce that are frustrated that are exasperated in abundance of new employees and everything is just kind of chaotic today be able to help us out. Because just going to put away as to what we believe we talked about last week about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, as if Jesus Christ is alive and he's really in your life and you are living for Jesus Christ in his Peter points out here in first year, we are to this is not our civilization. We are just strangers passing through and we have an obligation to live that the standard of Jesus Christ Jesus Christ into this world and we do that not only by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We also do that through our actions and that's really what Peter is talking about this week and what we're up next week where he talks about the wives and their husbands. We're going to have to deal with how do we deal with this group and how we can Because we've been received by the precious blood of Jesus Christ it so therefore we are to live the gospel. We're to be different world is that everyone is the same purpose of Jesus Christ? It God is not as is long-suffering not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance even during this is to be able to witness the power of Jesus Christ. And Peter is going to bring us that I know some of you this morning that are listening to this message probably feel like your boss deals unjustly with you. Maybe harshly may be critically maybe some of you have Bad Bosses the money and everybody is just trying to survive and Peter gives us one of the hardest thing as a Christian and he continues to Repeat this same message. We saw to our government submit to Authority when we talked about your boss. We're submitting to your husband. It's all about Authority. It's all about removing. Our pride are selfish ambition and to submit to them authorities that God has established not be run over not so that we can be pushed over not but that the Gospel of Jesus Christ might go forth in our world in our nation and also in our households our Workforce in this idea of submission and make sure that is Christian. We are in a submissive attitude.

Do it for the sake of Jesus Christ that is there to receive legally. What is ours are rightfully what is ours but yet we need to understand nothing in this world is ours. It's all gone in the future as we go here. We look at this this morning. It's basically to the passions of Our Lives to be considered call said that he considered for the Excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ in the power of his resurrection, and that's what I want to know. Jesus Christ in his power. I want to know Jesus Christ in the resurrection that we celebrated last week did not know that I have the power of Christ Living in me is to be present with the Lord have your baubles. We're going to be taking this morning into three different short sections this morning as we come through these past 18 and he says Service Masters without fear not only to the good in general but also to the froward for this is if a man for conscious for God in your grief suffering wrongfully for what glory is it if we need be buffeted for your faults, you shall take it take it patiently, but if we Wait and suffer for it. You take it patiently this is acceptable. So what I want us to look at first of all is the servility for salvation. Remember we are submitting not so that we can be pressed a phone not that we can be mistreated not that week but we are submitting for the purpose of salvation of Jesus Christ. So others can see the power of Christ the power of the Holy Spirit Holy Spirit and not displeased much fruits of the Lord Lovejoy self-control into our lives. Look at this word service. We think of the worst servility and This Is Us submitting ourselves as they serve it for the purpose. Notice here that the word slave or servant is really the word slave it it was a household slave in Roman times. There would be those Jews that literally slaves household is the Roman Empire and also for the Romans to be saved and how they reacted in different situations. And these Rome is needed to see the love the mercy in the grace of Jesus Christ in their lives. So remember that if I said if I will be lifted up I will draw all men unto me so our job is not for sales are job is to lift up Jesus Christ. What are the most degrading in? Probably the most Jolly times of servitude is as a household slave. Because of all of the jobs in the different things that you had to do you was at the beck and call of the master of the whole 24 hours a day 7 days a week and you had to do whatever they ask you to pay. Some of it wasn't great job. Some of it was a clean jobs or anything, but you was always at their beck-and-call a very good job. It wasn't a very matter-of-fact he was he was bound and desire and usually and he says be subject to your masters with all fear and that were fears the same word as respect and other words the same thing that we are to live in fear of God.

No, I live in fear of God is awesome. So therefore I live in respect to heal. I submit myself to his purpose and his will that so I don't understand what I was going on. I don't understand why we are in all of this and some days. I am worried about us not dangerous and all of these things is what's going on. The same thing is true when it comes to our masters submission means to take a position or a place under and other words.

The boss has tremendous pressure. He has to Mendes things trying to keep his business going during this economic struggle at and there's a lot of pressure and I do want to say even though we're not dealing with employers fear that if you are a boss. I know we have in our conversation own their own businesses and you need to be a Godly boss. You need to be a Christian boss and you need to treat your people.

Specifically this morning we are talking about the employees to the end reaction to the employer notice. He goes on there and he still has not only but also nice to the good bosses to the bosses that take care of us to the bosses that treat us. Nice. If we're good then guess what we're doing it by compliant we're doing it because they are a great boss and I want to be good and I want to work hard for them. But Peter says here that not only are we to do it to the good balls also to do it to the bad boss the cruel Master the perverse Master that's the master the boss that mistreats us. The boss said that that does not please the boss that does not honor God is a matter fact Ephesians chapter 6 verse 5 to servants be obedient to them that are your Masters according to the flesh. Masters with fear and trembling in the singleness of your heart as unto Christ is not with eye Services men Pleasers, but with Servants of Christ do the will of God from the heart and so it is our responsibility to live as Christians wear that we have a good ball or we have a bad boss. It's hard to sit in our our purpose in life to live as good citizens of America where the we have good leadership or we have bad leadership. It doesn't matter about our leadership because we have a responsibility. It was a hire car who is a hierarchy that is respected in the Bible tells us that God puts all teams in place. Balls to be your boss. He gave you that job he put you in this situation. That's all whether good or bad your purpose in your job is to honor. Your purpose in your job is that they may see Jesus Christ in you that they may want to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. So Christianity works on such principles in our social institution for the goal of every Christian needs to be able to reach as many possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we possibly can. I want you to understand when it says labor submissive to management does not mean that Labor's BuzzFeed or Matt. It doesn't mean that you are too late let your management or your balls take advantage of you or treat you unjustly sociate races, you can talk to him about I'm more safety protocol if you're working during this virus or whatever, but what he is talking about here is generally not. Not good to run away from a situation. Just because it is difficult just because that boss is hard because God may have a plan for that ball that is greater in Far More reaching than what you are. I can see and understand the matter fact. All right into the church at Rome in Romans chapter 12 told them he said dearly beloved. Yourselves, but rather give Place unto wrath has written vengeance is mine. I will repay saith the Lord as we look at this passage of scripture. We understand that there must have been a problem there. We understand in this precept up spells of suffering that this is giving here is the idea that we are to submit to our bosses. Why are we to do this? What is the passion for this suffering makes want to submit to someone else? What is 19 + notice what he says he says for this is this is where you get your passion. This is where you get If a man for conscience for God and suffering wrongfully. Notice what he says here, he said by us submitting to our bosses. What happens. Is we find favor and Grace With God that is it, please. Please with us then God is going to bless us. And God is going to bring through submission. 20 says for what glory is it if when you are buffeted for your fault, you shall take it patiently, you know, a lot of us want to get upset because we're bad employees. We show up late we leave work early we have to do our jobs and then when we get all mad and upset and say they're a bad boss know you're a bad employee Christian you ought to give your very best to your boss. You ought to show up early you ought to stay late because you are living under the influence of Jesus Christ. He says uses the word. Buffeted there which actually legal system or use it if you serve if you're in trouble, then you just need to take it and be a better worker Jesus Christ. And so that's where God gets the glory and so the free set for suffering the passion for suffering but notice he says you take it patiently that is acceptable under God go back to the sermon of the mount Jesus goes through the Beatitudes in the first part of chapter 5 and he comes down and verse 10. Play with your persecuted for righteousness righteousness like God forbid. Holy if we found in chapter one where Peter said that we are to be holy as God is Holy. He says for there's those that suffer for righteousness sake for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. He said blessed. Are you when men revile you and persecute you and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake rejoice and be exceedingly glad for great is your reward in heaven for so persecuted they the profits which were before you and so where do we find that standard? I think when I was remembering Jesus Christ was thinking over the life of Jesus Christ. And so the next thing that he does is he gives us the standard for salve. Notify 2124 where were you called? Because Christ also suffered for us leaving us. You should follow his stay up when he was Rafal Drove all night again, when he suffered committed himself to him the judge righteously who is on sale bear our sins in his own body on the tree that we been dead to send the righteousness by whose Stripes you are healed notice. He says for even wearin to you are called see we have an example. We have a pattern for suffrage just like Jesus when he began his ministry said blessed are those when they revile against you and they persecute you when they tell half truths about you or live. Yours is the kingdom of God Jesus set that standard and we see y'all through his ministry that he follows that that not one single time or what me and gave us this pattern for supper favorite verses in the Bible Philippians chapter 3 verse 10 small riding the church at Philippi. I said, this is what I want. This is what I press for. This is my calling in life. This is my passion in life. No heel Jesus Christ. And the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable even unto his date. You cannot begin to understand living life and life more abundantly until you die to self. You cannot be a disciple of Jesus Christ until you deny yourself take up your cross daily and follow Jesus Christ understand what is a child in a wicked and perverse world? I'm surrounded by people that are lost. The people that are filled with CO2 experience what it was like to Cooper Christ and Peter goes on in this patterns for suffering and notice. He gives us the pressure of stuff reset is there. Fries at Christ left us an example. What was the example of Christ that we should follow in his steps notice what he says in this he said who did no sin. Neither was found in his mouth. Peter goes all the way back and actually quotes from Isaiah chapter 53 the Jesus Christ also use their in the sermon of the mount in Matthew chapter 5 verse 10 through 12, and he goes back to the picture and Isaiah chapter 53 of Christ being that's that lamb that sacrificial lamb and how that he submitted himself to lay eggs in your read their that's that Christ has he we studied all last week. We studied the passion week of Jesus Christ how he was on trial before the Jews held at the Pharisees to the high priest Pontius Pilate all of them. They slap them they want this beer they that they brought them into trial unworthily they lied. But yes, Jesus Christ did no sin. These are West Argyle found in his mouth. He didn't lash out. He didn't talk about them. He didn't run their boss down or trash them. He also goes on their Peter does and says he was reviled raval Knights against Christ head mini shark biting nasty things that against them he was macht if you're the child of God, if you're really got the Comedown. Do you want me to read a release unto you? Do you want me to release Jesus Christ of Nazareth or do you want me to relieve boredom who was the murderer in to listen to his own people cry out crucify him the one that was coming to give them life liberty and the pursuit of happiness because Christ also suffered and gave us this example notice when he suffered it. He threatened not Jesus was innocent. He was without spot. She was tried. He was convicted. He was put to death on the cross of Calvary and all of the charges were subjective. All of them were the illegal every trial. Everything was illegal. Nothing should have stood the matter of fact that the one of the thieves that was there on the cross look at.

But yet Jesus Christ never once threatened anyone the matter fact one of the guards that was standing there at the cross of Calvary after Jesus Christ cried. It is finished because of his action because of his non-threatening attitude because there was no sin or retaliation the guard standing there at the cross of Jesus Christ saw his action heard his word and said truly Thou Art the son of a living God the pressure of suffering. It's not easy. It's not not going to be fun and it's not exciting. It's a horrible time. It's a horrible situation to bring yourself under submission and noticed that he also goes into the price of suffering notice what the price of suffering is, it could cost you your job, but it cost Jesus Christ. His life goes on and talks about the Stop rate self referring to Jesus Christ bear our sins in his own body on the tree that we've been dead to sin should live under righteousness physical non-attorney suffering to the atoning suffering of Jesus Christ now want you to understand this morning and I feel like I need to bring this out this morning can live to the atoning suffering of Christ. None of us can we can live in the example in point people died on the cross for our sins, but Peter 1 thinking about all of the nun talk to Tony sacrifice that Jesus Christ went through all of the night at Tony so freaked it immediately brings him to the fold of why did Jesus Christ die on the cross? To pay for our sins and to give his life for us when Christ died. He was not thinking about himself. He was not thinking about being treated unjustly or what he did to deserve this or didn't deserve this know when Jesus Christ was on the cross. I was on his mind and you was on his mind and you was on his heart and I was on his heart he died for us, but she wasn't worried about him robbery to be equal with God but made of himself no reputation and took upon himself the form of a man here is gone, but he come to Earth as a man in order that he might be spit upon have his beard plucked out mockbee ridicule. So that you can have life. Wow, what a pattern we have what a pattern of suffering that we have what an obligation that we have to look up. What a pet standard.

He goes out and he says by whose Stripes you are healed that strikes means the actual Wilkes. That was a phone Jesus's body made of a whip with a cord or text with little pieces of brass and Bone and they would take and literally rip the Flesh and expose bones and arteries and and different things of the body and it says it was during that brief. It was during that mutilation. You and I are healed while you if you would think that we might could suffer a little bit for Jesus Christ to show people that he loves us that he cares for us. So we have the standard of Salvation the standard for suffering, but the last thing I want you to do is listen, you're not in this alone notice the supervision for salvation and verse 25. He says for we were as sheep gone astray, but are now returned into the shepherd and Bishop of your soul. Look at what she says they are we were previously straying we were previously lost. We were previously Wicked and without Jesus Christ without the holy spirit to guide us to produce fruit in our life produce goodness. Indoor live. There is nothing good in US everything that is good is from Jesus Christ the father of all goodness the father of no lies of Truth. He is come to us. And where we once were Australian and once where we were lost, even these Asian Christians with all of their trials with all of their difficulties would have to admit that they were better off under Christ. Then they were without him if you are saved and you're a child of God, it doesn't matter how repressive the government is. It doesn't matter how repressed of your boss is listen to me very very carefully you are better off as a child of God then if you wasn't so where we were previously straight straying notice. Now we are free presently secured notice we are secure but he says but are now returned to the shepherd and the bishop of your soul. Wow. Think about that for just a minute to Shepherds. We have been brought into a fold. We have a Shepherd the good. When I read that and going back over that this morning my mind immediately went to the shot of Psalms 23. One of my favorite songs is the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want I'm in here spoiled. It says he maketh me to lie down in Green Pastures. He leadeth me beside Still Waters. Yay, though. I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I mistreated or whatever God is there to protect me to shelter me. He preparest a table in the presence of my enemies. Listen to me this morning. You are presently secure. God has you Vengeance Is God don't lash out don't demand your right society and culture through right. Now you represent Jesus Christ. Let God take care of the Bad Bosses. What a blessing it would be for your boss to see your actions in your attitudes and glorify Jesus Christ and become saved. Can you imagine the relationship that it would change and create in your Workforce if your boss? It is himself or herself to Jesus Christ. That's the supervision. We have Christ. He's been there done that has the scars to prove it. So he's not asking us to do anything that he didn't do what he's not asking you to die. He just asking you to present himself to them ask you a question this morning. Are you Australian sheep? Are you Australian sheep? Listen, if you're straying this morning, if you're out there wandering around aimlessly and you don't know where you're going and what you're doing. The first thing you need to do is admit your condition admit your condition admit that you are out in the flesh that you're not living spiritually that you're not in Jesus Christ her even admit the fact that you've never trusted Jesus Christ that you've never made your personal savior, whatever your condition is take a quick honest. Look at yourself. Are you representing Jesus Christ? Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal savior meet your condition second of all believe in Jesus Christ believe in Jesus Christ couldn't believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved as we talked about last week believe that Christ died for your sins. No matter what condition you're in no matter what seeing you have in your life Christ paid the debt he paid for it. So he covered it with his blood. He shed his blood for you that you might be set free and maybe made righteous and holy believe in Jesus Christ. And the third thing is change your course that comes with repentance don't keep doing the same thing that you're doing. Whether lost are saved begin to follow Jesus Christ read your Bible study allow the Holy Spirit to talk to you to teach you to show you submit yourself to the world.

Talk to you in this representing you let God take care of the engine and you just be the best Christian that you possibly can be for the honor and the glory of God in the Bible says they will see your good works and they will glorify the Father which is in heaven. Thank you very much. If you would like to know more about salvation. If you would like to know more about giving your life to Christ or submitting to Authority. Please reach out to me through Messenger through text message through Facebook. However, I know that I am praying for you know that I am loving you and remember this week submit not to be beat on not to be trampled on but submit for the glory of God. Thank you. Goodnight today.
