The world is changing.

This is not necessarily a bad thing. But this means we must be at least aware of this fact.

How will church respond?

This is a question which keeps my brain moving. Hopefully also yours.

Our call is to be faithful.

This is our calling. Yet, faithfulness does not mean unchanging. It means staying on task with the mission. Faithfulness requires we change and grow in order to be different during the changing winds.

We need to grow in Christ.

Growth is a process.

We cannot learn everything at once nor do we try to.

The Holy Spirit lives in us!

This is one of the many truths coming from our study in Ephesians. The indwelling of the Spirit is part of what it means to be “in Christ”

We need to be more aware of the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is a person.

This is I believe an important characteristic we must keep in mind. The Spirit is not the energy of God, nor a spiritual force (a la Star Wars).

The Holy Spirit is promised.

The Holy Spirit will be with us forever.

The Holy Spirit is like Jesus.

Of the same cloth. As Jesus is so is the Spirit. Neither one will do anything on their own power.

The Holy Spirit is truth.

The world cannot accept the Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is an encourager.

He encourages to see Jesus.
