Does God change?

1 Samuel 15:29 NASB95
29 “Also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.”
Malachi 3:6 NASB95
6 “For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
Hebrews 13:8 NASB95
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

We as humans are always changing

Salvation should bring a total change in our life

Ephesians 4:22–24 NASB95
22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

Should we as His people change?

Is it OK for us to change?

After salvation we should continue to change

2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB95
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Change comes when you change your mind

When you have Jesus in your heart, allow only your heart to change your mind.

An open mind can be changed by anyone

A heart full of Jesus can only be changed by God

In Christ, when should we NOT change, who we are, or what we do?

when times are hard
when times are good
when we are around Christians
when we are around non Christians
when we have money
when we are broke
when we are at church
when we are at home
Proverbs 24:21 NASB95
21 My son, fear the Lord and the king; Do not associate with those who are given to change,
Psalm 15:1–4 NASB95
1 O Lord, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? 2 He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. 3 He does not slander with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor takes up a reproach against his friend; 4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honors those who fear the Lord; He swears to his own hurt and does not change;
Ephesians 4:14–15 NASB95
14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,

Do you change depending on your surroundings?

Are you a true Christian all the way through?

Aren’t you glad that God never changes?

Psalm 125:1 NASB95
1 Those who trust in the Lord Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.
1 Corinthians 15:58 NASB95
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
