Virtual Service FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH RESURRECTION SUNDAY APRIL 12, 2020 Welcome & Prayer “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” What a Friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer! Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy-laden, Cumbered with a load of care? Precious Savior, still our refuge— Take it to the Lord in prayer; Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer; In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there. “Take Time To Be Holy” Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord; Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word. Make friends of God’s children, help those who are weak, Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek. Take time to be holy, the world rushes on; Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone. By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be; Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see. Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide; And run not before Him, whatever betide. In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord, And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word. Offertory “This Little Light of Mine” “Call On Jesus” I'm so very ordinary Nothing special on my own I have never walked on water I have never calmed a storm Sometimes I'm hiding away From the madness around me Like a child who's afraid of the dark [Chorus:] But when I call on Jesus All things are possible I can mount on wings like eagles and soar When I call on Jesus Mountains are gonna fall 'Cause He'll move heaven And earth to come rescue me when I call Lalalala... Weary brother Broken daughter Widowed lover You're not alone If you're tired and Scared of the madness around you If you can't find the strength to carry on [Chorus] Call Him in the mornin' In the afternoon time House Band Late in the evenin' He'll be there When your heart is broken And you feel discouraged You can just remember that He said He'll be there [Chorus x2] Lalalala... Medley: “People Need the Lord/ Just as I Am” People need the Lord, people need the Lord At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door People need the Lord, people need the Lord When will we realize people need the Lord? Just as I am, without one plea But that Thy blood was shed for me And that Thou bid'st me come to thee O Lamb of God, I come, I come People need the Lord, people need the Lord At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door People need the Lord, people need the Lord When will we realize people need the Lord? Just as I am, Thou wilt receive Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve Because Thy promise I believe O Lamb of God, I come, I come People need the Lord, people need the Lord At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door People need the Lord, people need the Lord When will we realize people need the Lord?
