Sermon Tone Analysis

*Today* we’re having a *special service*.

We’re going to have a praise and worship service and a healing service.

The Bible tells us in *(**MARK** 16:14-20)* that *the **Lord confirms the Word with signs following*.

So, I *felt* the *Lord* was *directing me* *to teach on* the subject of *healing* and the Lord will confirm His Word with signs following.

I felt the Lord was directing me to *teach in the area of God’s willingness to heal.*

*A) **All **Christians should receive Jesus* Christ *as the healer of their bodies*.

*1) **I can say that for* *one reason* *or* *a should say* *reason **No.

1* is that *God** **used** to **heal the sick*, *and he is **unchangeable God*.

*a) **In the Old Testament* *we can see many times* *that **God was man’s healer*.

*(i) *In the *(Exodus 15:26)* it says*, **“If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.”*

*(ii) *Also in the book of *(Exodus 23:25)* it says, *“And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall blessed thy bread, and thy water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”*

*(iii) * *Exo.

23:22-30*

*(iv) *We also have in the book of *Psalms** chapter **103 verse 3* which says, *“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”

Psa 103: 1-5*

*(v) **Isa 40:31*

*(a) **We are renewed from strength to strength – glory- faith *

*(b) **If **God** is **still** in the* *business of forgiving sins*, *he is still in the **healing business*.

*(vi) **In the book of **Exodus* the *children** of **Israel* *left** **Egypt* with Moses as their leader, *but in the book of **Psalms* it *gives* us some *insight* *how they left.*

*(a) **(Psalms 105:37)* says, *“He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.”*

*(1) **“FEEBLE”** And in spite of the havoc the plagues had wrought on the Egyptians, the **Israelites** were **unaffected**.

**They were all in good condition for travel.**

**Not one staggered or fell behind.***[1]***

*(2) **There were about **three million** Israelites* that left Egypt that day.

*How could there be **not one feeble person among them**?*

*II) **Because **God** was **their healer*.

*A) **(Psalm 107:20)* says, *“He [God] sent his Word, **and healed** them.”

**(read all from V 1-29*

*B) **In the **New Testament* *we can see that* *God is still man’s healer* *through** the Lord **Jesus** Christ*.

*1) **(Matthew 9:35)* *says*,* “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogue’s, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”*

*a) **What did Jesus do before he healed?*

He *taught* *and* he *preached** the gospel* *or* *preached the Word*, and *then he healed*.

*2) **The Word* of God *also* *shows us* *that* *Jesus gave power to the disciples* *to heal** the sick*.

*a) **(MARK 6:12,13)* says, *“And they [the disciples] went out, and preached that men should repent.

And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and heal them.”*

*C) **God** is **still the same*, *if he **healed* *in the **Old Testament*, *if he **healed in the New Testament*, *then he is **still** healing **today**!*

*III) **(Malachi 3:6)* says, *“For I am the Lord, I change not.”*

*A) *In *(Hebrews 13:8)* it says, *“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”*

*1 commentary* *(BKC)* I was reading *says* that *Jesus* Christ *remains continuously the same*.

*a) *The *Matthew Henry commentary* *says* that *“Jesus Christ is ever the same,”* *but* that *commentary goes on to say*, *“Christ is the same in the Old Testament*, *in the Gospels*, *and will be so to his people forever.”*

*b) **James says* *(James 1:17)*, *“Every good gift and every perfect gift [that would include healing] is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”*

*(i) **The words* *“NO VARIABLENESS”* *mean*, *“NO CHANGING.”*

*(a) **In this verse* *James** is also **declaring** that **God does not **change*.

*IV) **In the **Old Testament* *we can see God as:*

*A) **Jehovah—**shammah*     -- *“The Lord ever present”*

*B) **Jehovah—**JIREH*               -- *“The Lord our provider”*

*C) **Jehovah—**Nissi*                 -- *“The Lord are banner”*

*D) **Jehovah—**shalom*          -- *“The Lord our peace”*

*E) **Jehovah—**raah*          -- *“The Lord my shepherd”*

*F) **Jehovah—**tsidkenu*        -- *“The Lord our righteousness”*

*G) *And *No.

7* is       *Jehovah—**rapha*        *-- **“The Lord that healeth”*

*V) **Still most admit that God is:*

*A) **Jehovah—shammah*       -- *“The Lord ever present”*

*B) **Jehovah—JIREH*            -- *“The Lord our provider”*

*C) **Jehovah—Nissi*               -- *“The Lord are banner”*

*D) **Jehovah—shalom*          -- *“The Lord our peace”*

*E) **Jehovah—raah*                -- *“The Lord my shepherd”*

*F) **Jehovah—tsidkenu*          -- *“The Lord our righteousness”*

*G) **If that’s true* *then he is still* *Jehovah—rapha—“The Lord are healer”*

*1) **Paul said it so well in* *(Hebrews 13:8)* that *“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”*

*a) **Since God is **still the same** today*, *as he has been in the** **past*, *we can expect the same** **healing power of God** **to be in operation right here*, *today*.

*(i) **Jesus is our healer* *and **if he healed in the past* *he will do it for you today*.

*(ii) **During this time we spend in praise and worship* *expect the healing anointing to be here* *& for the power of God to be in operation*.
