The Need of a church
For this cause
back to verse 2 and 3- the preaching of the truth that brings the church unto godliness
This is a local group of christians that work together to bring about the commandment of God in every place
Set in order the things that are wanting
The Need of elders
The Need of elders
A Pastor to lead and protect the church
Therefore they must be blameless
Works under the discipline and stewardship of God
Lover of Hospitality- welcoming people into our homes
Must exhort and convince the falseteachers
A church of mature believers
This protects the church from being blasphemed
A pattern of good works
the world must have no evil to say of us
In all things (vs 11)
The Need of gospel
The Need of gospel
The gospel must continue to work in and through us
denying ungodliness and worldly lusts
we do not live for the things of this world
we are reminded of that right now
we have something greater to look forward to
Christ died so that we might live for him
The authority of the church is to speak these things
