Jesus Sets the example in the time of a storm

He Slept -

37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?”
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), .

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly

Key #1 Know who you are {Gal. 4:6-7}

And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

When we know who we are, no circumstance; no person; no obstacle can cause us to feel defeated;

When we know who we are, we can walk with courage and boldness knowing that all has been conquered because our Father in Heaven has already overcome it

Key #2 Intamacy:Stay Close to the Father {Ro. 10:17}

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ

pursue the presence of God every single day, through coming to Him in prayer, thanksgiving, and worship

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ

if you Spend time in the presence of God, listening for His voice, and you will hear His promises, His provision, and a way out {of any circumstance}

Key #3 Thanksgiving: Praise God for what He has done {Ps. 103:1-5}

Bless the LORD, O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits,

3  who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases,

4  who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

5  who satisfies you with good

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

In order to remain anchored in the goodness of God, you need to continually remind yourself of what He has done in your life, and in the lives of others.

Meditate on His love, His power, and His faithfulness, and you will gain a deep, unshakeable faith that God is good, in every circumstance.
