The Promise is given to the Repented Sinner

Sinners must repent before sin can be forgiven

Jesus must be believed and received to get the Promise

2Tim1:1 (here Paul says) God sent him to tell about the Promise of Life that is in Christ Jesus.

The Promise is in the present tense “today”

The forgiven are with Him when they believe. “shalt thou be with me”

“be with me in paradise”

Now Gods presence is with people, and He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them and will be their God.
