News updates:
So tonight we pick up again in Isaiah Chapter 43. It is such an interesting time to be alive. Most of the distractions of life have been taken away, no restaurants, no sports, no live entertainment.
!
I can see the hand of God here, shaking us out of our sleep. Saying, “wake up!” I hope you are awake tonight.
So lets begin, 43:1
1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
Here is a beautiful message to Israel, and not just to Israel, but to all who have been redeemed to God, by the blood of Christ.
To be redeemed is to be bought back from slavery or imprisonment. It cost God greatly to purchase your salvation. God didn’t just wink at your sin and say never mind.
1 pet 1:18
1 Peter 1:18–19 NKJV
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
So its important to remember that if you have trusted Christ, He now owns you. The great news is our master is a Great Loving and Merciful Master.
That’s why David could say in “The Lord is my Shepard I Shall not want”. The Psalm then gives a list of the benefits that Yahweh gives to His sheep. Jesus said “I am the Good Shepard.”
We continue with a beautiful promise, especially for these times;
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
We are passing through the waters right now; you would have to agree. Notice: the best part, I (God) will be with you. The Hebrew reads this way; with you I AM. Live or die this is the best news you can have. We are never alone if you are in Christ.
Notice He doesn’t promise you won’t go through stuff, we will.
This promise reminds me of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abendnego. Go to :
Nebuchadnezzar has set up a huge golden image and demand that all worship it.
15 Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made, good! But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?”
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”
Saved in Fiery Trial
19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated. 20 And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 22 Therefore, because the king’s command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. 23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”
25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Nebuchadnezzar Praises God
26 Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here.” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego came from the midst of the fire. 27 And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.
We move on:
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
3 For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I gave Egypt for your ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
4 Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life.
5 Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
And gather you from the west;
6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’
Bring My sons from afar,
And My daughters from the ends of the earth—
7 Everyone who is called by My name,
Whom I have created for My glory;
I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
Again here the Lord is calling for Israel to come back to the land. From all corners of the globe. In verse 7 He says something interesting regarding your purpose for being created. Notice;
Everyone who is called by My name,
Whom I have created for My glory;
Millions are spent by people trying to find themselves, here God is telling you your purpose is to bring God glory.
Jesus said,

25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

He continues;
8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes,
And the deaf who have ears.
Here God is again speaking to the Jews and the Gentile nations who are deaf and blind to the truth of God as revealed by His word.
9 Let all the nations be gathered together,
And let the people be assembled.
Who among them can declare this,
And show us former things?
Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified;
Or let them hear and say, “It is truth.”
In other words, Make your case or repent and confess “it is truth”. One day every one will bow their knee and ultimately confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
10 “You are My witnesses,” says the LORD,
“And My servant whom I have chosen,
That you may know and believe Me,
And understand that I am He.
Before Me there was no God formed,
Nor shall there be after Me.
11 I, even I, am the LORD,
And besides Me there is no savior.
Here, God is reminding them and us that, He is Yahweh, He alone makes the rules. There is no salvation outside of His way. This is the truth that makes the unbeliever furious. Jesus was either a mad man, a liar, or God. One must choose.
Acts 4:12 NKJV
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12 NKJV
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Act
Jesus said :
Jesus said :
John 14:6 NKJV
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
In the original Greek, the words “No one” is oudeis which is much stronger, it means not even one. You have no chance outside of Jesus to be saved.
Interestingly, the word Savior is used 8 times in Isaiah, 8 is the number of new beginnings in the bible. It is also the number of Jesus. (888). Hand out.
12 I have declared and saved,
I have proclaimed,
And there was no foreign god among you;
Therefore you are My witnesses,”
Says the LORD, “that I am God.
13 Indeed before the day was, I am He;
And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand;
I work, and who will reverse it?”
Be sure that when God says something, like in the Book of Revelation or any truth in Scripture, it will take place and we cannot change it.
He continues;
14 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
The Holy One of Israel:
“For your sake I will send to Babylon,
And bring them all down as fugitives—
The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships.
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One,
The Creator of Israel, your King.”
Here again God is pronouncing judgement against Babylon more than 150 years prior to fulfillment.
He continues;
16 Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea
And a path through the mighty waters,
This verse was the impetus that started a man named Matthew Fontane Maury to study the ocean currents and later mapped the oceans and who is known as the father of oceanography.
17 Who brings forth the chariot and horse,
The army and the power
(They shall lie down together, they shall not rise;
Here is an obvious reference the Egyptian army drowning in the Red Sea.
They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):
18 “Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
We saw this last time that God is changing things up, a new thing is coming. Staying stuck in the past can keep us from the new thing God wants to do. Maybe God has allowed this virus to expand His church through the internet services. I may have mentioned that even here far more people are watching. has had over 300 views.
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
20 The beast of the field will honor Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.
21 This people I have formed for Myself;
They shall declare My praise.
The word praise in Hebrew is Judah.
In contrast now, to bringing God praise, He states the current state of Israel.
22 “But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob;
And you have been weary of Me, O Israel.
In the flesh, sometimes we regard serving and obeying the LORD as a weary thing. We feel it is such a burden to serve the LORD. We think we are so bad off following His ways and feel so oppressed and afflicted. Sometimes people say, “I just need to take a break,” and essentially mean that they need to take a break from the LORD!
When we feel like this, it is certain evidence that we are not in step with Jesus, and the true nature of Jesus. He said, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. () If following God always seems like some great, weary burden – then you really aren’t following Him.
23 You have not brought Me the sheep for your burnt offerings,
Nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices.
I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings,
Nor wearied you with incense.
24 You have bought Me no sweet cane with money,
Nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices;
But you have burdened Me with your sins,
You have wearied Me with your iniquities.
In other words instead of bringing their praise, their sacrifices and their offerings they have brought their Sins.
and finally
25 “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake;
And I will not remember your sins.
The Hebrew word for “blots out” is machah. It means - (blot, put, etc)...out (17x), destroy (6x), wipe (4x), blot (3x), wipe away (2x), abolished (1x), marrow (1x), reach (1x), utterly (1x).
Notice why God does it - for My(His) own sake.
The Greek word for Blot Out -exaleiphō, is used in exactly the same way as the Hebrew. It is used as a warning to the church in Sardis in to continue in holy living.
Revelation 3:5 NKJV
5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
I scarey thought!
26 Put Me in remembrance;
Let us contend together;
State your case, that you may be acquitted.
There is no case that can be made. It is the folly of man to think he can contend with God.
27 Your first father sinned,
And your mediators have transgressed against Me.
Our first father was Adam, Paul makes this case in
Romans 5:18–19 NKJV
18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Rom 5:18-
28 Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary;
I will give Jacob to the curse,
And Israel to reproaches.
Because of this deep sinfulness, and failure to look to God’s solution for sin, there was only a curse for Jacob. Because we are born in sin, and when we reject God’s Mediator, then all there is left for us is the curse and reproaches.
