11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. 13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”

“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”

Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

JESUS SHOWS COMPASSION – Crying is a natural emotion. Jesus wept (John 11:35). Your tears are temporary. Ps 30:5 Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. God promised eternally to wipe away all tears from our eyes (Rev 21:4.

16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

JESUS MAKES CONNECTION – Jesus called her by name. Jesus knows you, loves you, and cares about you. John 10:3 reminds us that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. Song- He knows my name, he knows my name O how he walks with me, talks with me, and tells me that I am his own. You know my name, O how you comfort me, counsel me, and it still amazes me that I am your friend.

17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

JESUS CHANGES COMMUNICATION – We have good news to tell about the resurrection. Jesus lives. Jesus loves. I heard the joyful sound, Jesus saves, Jesus saves spread the tidings all around Jesus saves to the utmost he saves.

Mary, I need you to Go tell my disciples that I Made It Out Alright. Jesus Lives!!!

We need to change our communication from the gossip to the gospel from a pandemic to the prolific. I’ve got some good news. I’ve a message from the Lord Hallelujah a message unto you I’ll give this recorded in his word Hallejuiah it is only that you look and live. Look and live my brother and sister live, look to Jesus now and live.

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders (ISOLATION), Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

JESUS PROVIDES CONSOLATION – They were in isolation because of fear, but when Jesus came into the locked room he brought consolation (comfort). Jesus presence brings peace. John 14:27 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Jesus still makes house calls and wants to bring peace to your heart, your house, to your family, and to our nation. (Rundown)

No Jesus No Peace Know Jesus Know Peace

20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

JESUS GIVES COMMISSION - They saw Jesus and experienced him with renewed faith. Their doubts and fears turned to faith. Jesus gave them a commission that yes you have seen and receive me, but I made it out alright so that you can go and help others make it out. You and I have a mission to reach the lost and help those in sin find freedom through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. An IMPOSSIBLE MISSION becomes a MISSION OF POSSIBILITIES because of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection Power of the Holy Spirit!

Ephesians 1:18-23 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

JESUS WELCOMES CONFIRMATION – Jesus came back a second time just for the one who was not present or still doubting. (Jesus gives a parable about leaving the 99 sheep for the one, There is more rejoicing in heaven over the one who comes to salvation than the 99 that need no repentance. Jesus allow Thomas to touch him to see that he was real. He touched the scars in his hands and side that he experienced for you and I. Stop doubting. Just Believe. I’m real. I’m alive. I’m here. I Made It Out Alright!!!

Story: Boy saved from fire by firefighter who burned his hands to rescue him. He lost his parents in the fire. Adoption process -doctor, educator, and firefighter-Can he have me? Why because I remember his hands; those hands saved me, carried me, and loved me.

28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

JESUS LOVES CONFESSION – Thomas experienced Jesus for himself. He had his own testimony and personal encounter with Jesus. Thomas declared for himself, My Lord and my God! What do you say about Jesus today? Is he Lord of all in your life? If Jesus is not Lord of all, then he is not Lord at all.

Paul declared in Philippians 3:10-14

10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Romans 10:9-13 The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Mark 1:15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Resurrection Sunday – I Made It Out Alright BELIEVE IT!

I serve a risen Savior he is in the world today. I know that he is living whatever people say. I see his hand of mercy and hear his voice of cheer and just the time I need him he is always near. He lives, he lives. Christ Jesus lives today. He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, he lives salvation to impart. You ask me how I know he lives he lives within my heart.

Jesus, You died upon a cross And rose again to save the lost

Forgive me now of all my sin Come be my Savior, Lord, and Friend

Change my life and make it new And help me, Lord, to live for You
