I.      Matt 28:1-10

A.      1COR 2:2 “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” [1]

B.  This is the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

C.      Rom 1:16

1.    The word salvation means “deliverance, preservation, safety, salvation. Deliverance from the enemy. It is the sum of benefits and blessings[2] Victor over the enemy.”

D.  It is because Christ is raised from the dead that we too are raised from the dead we are alive unto to Him.

1.     ROM 6:4 Says, “Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”[3]

E.  Col 2:2 Says, “Buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.” [4]

II.   Col 2:13-15

1.    2 Cor 2:14 Says, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us 4diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” [5]

2.    1Cor 15:57 (“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”)[6]

B.      1John 5:4-5

C.  Let me read it to you from the Amplified.

1.    1 John 5:4-5 “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?”[7]

III.     Let me talk to you a moment about this victory that we have. What does it mean?

A.  We know we are to have victory in this life.

1.    John 10:10 Says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”[8]

IV.    But this life is so short, What does it mean when we get to heaven?

A.  Rev 2:7 Amplified “He who is able to hear, let him listen to and give heed to what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant to eat [of the fruit] of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”[9]

B.  Rev 2:11 Amp. “He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). He who overcomes (is victorious) shall in no way be injured by the second death.”[10]

C.  Rev 2:17 Amp. “He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (conquers), I will give to eat of the manna that is hidden, and I will give him a white stone with a new name engraved on the stone, which no one knows or understands except he who receives it.” [Isa. 62:2.][11]

D.  Rev 2:26 “And he who overcomes (is victorious) and who obeys My commands to the [very] end [doing the works that please Me], I will give him authority and power over the nations;” [12]

E.  Rev 3:5 “Thus shall he who conquers (is victorious) be clad in white garments, and I will not erase or blot out his name from the Book of Life; I will acknowledge him [as Mine] and I will confess his name openly before My Father and before His angels.”[13]

F.   Rev 3:11 Amp. “He who overcomes (is victorious), I will make him a pillar in the sanctuary of My God; he shall never be put out of it or go out of it, and I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which descends from My God out of heaven, and My own new name.” [14]

G.  Rev 3:21-22 Amp. “He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne. 22 He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).”[15]
