Sermon Tone Analysis

*Today is Easter*.

*At least* it is the day that we *celebrate as Easter*.

We really *don’t know* the *exact day* that Jesus rose from the dead, but that *doesn’t matter*.

We *should live ever day like Jesus died yesterday, rose today, and is coming tomorrow*.

*I.*

*I want to ask you this question*, “*What does Easter mean to you*?”

              *A.*

*To some* it’s *no more* than *just* another */day off work/* or a */holiday/*.

*1.*

To *others* it’s a day where you *go* *to* the */Grandparents/* house or have */relatives/* over.

*2.*

But that *doesn’t* *make* it *Easter*.

*                            a.*

*What does Easter mean to you*? *It’s the day* that all of */God’s/** **/plans/* were */fulfilled/* in */providing/* */salvation/* for us.

*B.*

There were *many things* that *had to come to pass* *before Jesus could lay down His life for us*.

There were */many/* */prophesies/* that had to be */fulfilled/* */1st/*.

*1.*

*From* that *birth* *of* *Jesus* where (*/Isaiah 7:14/*) wrote, “*/Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel/*,” *to* *His death* on the cross *to His ascension* *and offering His Blood* in the *heavenly holy of Holies*.

*2.* (*/PSA 22/*) is a *picture* of *Jesus being on the cross*.

*Even* the */resurrection/* of *Jesus* was */prophesied/*.

(*/Psalm 47:5-9/*) Says, “*/God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

(6) Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

(7) For God [is] the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

{with: or, every one that hath} (8) God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

(9) The princes of the people are gathered together, [even] the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth [belong] unto God: he is greatly exalted/*.”
