Today I wanted to minister of message on "KNOWING GOD'S DIRECTION."
Into our Christian walk it's important that we know God's direction.
Without it we'll be just like everyone else in the world; always wondering if what we're doing is right.
Of course we do have some direction from the Word of God, but there are many things that come up in our lives that we do not have a scripture that clearly reveals God's will to us.
*I.
PRO 29:18*
                        *A.*
This scripture is so true, we need to have a purpose, a plan, a vision, or a goal.
*1.*
If we don't t Bible says that we are going to perish.
*a.*
So we need to have that vision,
                                                *b.*
But you know what's better than having your own vision?
Having God's vision for your life.
*i.*
Or you could say having God's direction for your life.
*2.*
Look at *1CO 2:9*
                                                *a.*
In this *V* it tells us that God has prepared a direction for our lives.
*i.*
That's good news.
*ii.*
God has a perfect plan for us.
*b.*
But if we were to just stop at *V 9,* we would never know what His perfect will is for us.
*i.*
Again this *V* says, (read *V 9*)
                                                            *ii.*
T *NIV* translation says,  However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"
                                                *c.*
But thank God we don't have to stop there.
*B.
1CO 2:10a*  That tells us that God has revealed His will to us.
*1.*
Now you might be thinking, "Well if God has revealed his will to me, why don't I know it?"
*a.*
Maybe you're not listening in t right place.
*b.
(V 10)* says, "God hath revealed {them} unto us *by his Spirit."*
*2.*
How does God reveal things to us?
                                                *a.*
It's always by His Spirit to our spirits.
*b.*
Look at *V. 11a *
                                                            *i.*
In other words, your spirit man knows everything
about you.
*ii.*
You can't hide anything from your spirit man.
*c.*
Lets go on w~/ *V 11b.
*                                                         *i.*
This is telling us that only t Spirit of God knows everything about God.
                                    *3.*
But that's good news, look at *V 12a.*
                                                *a.*
When you received Jesus into your hearts you did not
receive t spirit of t world.
*b.*
You have nothing in common w~/ t world.
They are of t darkness, you are of t light.
*c.
MATT 5:13-16*
                                                            *i.*
Sin & t things of this world are darkening your light.
*ii.*
It's time to do what Jesus said, Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works.
*C.*
Go back w~/ me to *1CO 2:10-12 *
                                    *1.*
How is it that we are going to know what God has for us?
                                    *2.*
We're going to know it because we have t Spirit of God, & t Spirit of God knows what God's will is for us.
*D.
V 14*  I think that this makes it very clear.
*1.*
Who is it that's going to hear t voice of God?  Who is it that's going to perceive t voice of t spirit?
*a.*
T one who is spiritually minded.
*b.
(ROM 8:6)* Says, For to be carnally minded {is} death; but to be spiritually minded {is} life and peace.
(KJV)
                                                            *i.*
Why is it that t spiritually minded person is going to have life and peace?
*ii.*
It's because they are going to have *t direction & guidance of God.*
            *II.*
God's not trying to w~/hold anything from us concerning our lives.
*A.*
Look at *V 15a.* (*1Co 2:15a*)
                                    *1.*
T word *"judgeth"* also means, *"discerneth".
*
                                    *2.*
Those that are spiritual will be able to discern what God is doing in there lives.
*B.*
In *(JER 33:3)* T Lord said, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
*1.*
God wants you to have His guidance.
*2.
John 10:2-4; 14-16*
                                                *a.*
T Lord is always trying to get us to follow Him.
He's always leading.
            *III.*
There's many scriptures that promise us that God will direct us.
*A.
(PSA 23:2)* Says, He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: *he leadeth me beside the still waters.*
(KJV)
                        *B.
