If we *look **throughout the Word* of God, we *find people** **who did **great things for God**.
**These **people** **did what seemed impossible*.
But *it was* *through their faith* in God *and* their *union with Him* that *they did the impossible*.
*I) *The Bible tells us in *(Luke 1:37)* *“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”*
*A) *We always need to *remember that*.
*1) **You might be up a wall* and it seems that there is *no place to turn*, *but* remember; *with God**, **nothing** shall be **impossible*.
*2) **Matthew** **adds** something* to the statement, *“With God nothing shall be impossible.”*
*B) *Turn to *MATT 17:20.*
*1) **Jesus is saying* that *if you have faith*, *you can **say to your problem* *“go”* *and it has to **obey you*.
*C) **If* there’s *no** **place to turn* and you’re *up against a wall*, *tell** that **wall to go.*
*1) *Turn to *EXO 14.*
This is the *story of Israel* *being **set free** from **Egypt*.
*a) *The *Israelites had* this *same problem*.
They were *up against a wall*.

*2) *But look what took place.
*EXO 14:10-12.*
*a) *You can see that *they were not in faith** at all*.
*(i) *This *happens* when *people* are *faced* with a *crisis*.
*b) *They were in *total doubt and unbelief*.
*3) *But what I *wanted you to** **see* *is **Moses*.
Look at                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      *EXO 14:13-14.*
*a) *Now you *might be **thinking*, *“But that’s Moses.”*
*God* probably *told him* *what was going to happen* *and* *what* He was going *to do*.
*NO HE DIDN’T.*
*b) **Everything* that *Moses* was *saying* was *in total faith*.
*(i) *Now remember *faith* is *only **based on the Word* of God.
*c) **All Moses had was the Word* that *God spoke** to him saying* *“Set my people free.”*
*d) *Moses knew that *being killed in the wilderness* *or** **being **taken back into bondage* *was not being set free.*
*4) *So Moses said, *“Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD.”*
*a) **That was a **statement of faith*.
*D) **Because of his faith*, *look* at *what the Lord said*.
*EXO 14:15-16.*
*1) **When* the children of *Israel* were *up against a wall*, *Moses** was **in faith*, *and **because** of his **faith*, *the **Lord did** something **supernatural*.
*2) **He **removed the wall* and that’s when the *victory** **came*.
*II) **Just for a **few minutes** here**, I want to **look at Joshua**.
**Joshua demonstrated** some **qualities** in his life, **which **enabled him** to **live** a **victorious** life**.*
*A) **If we **apply** these **same** godly **qualities** **to our life**, **we to will be **brought** up** **out of bondage** **and lack** **into** **victory and abundance**.*
*1) **The principles* that *Joshua lived by* can *help any believer* *move** from where he is now* *to a place of victory** in their lives*.
*Faith* *Num 14:6-9*
*B) **Turn to **EXO 32:7.**
Notice in **Verse 7** The **Lord** is **angry** and He calls them **“Your people.”**
*
*1) **Exo 32:7-11** Notice **Verse 11** **Moses** says they’re **“Your people.”*
*2) **But what I wanted you to see was that **“Moses pleded with the Lord.”**(V
11)*
*a) **He based his prayer on** **two accounts**.
*
*(i) **1st** **Such a **destruction** would vindicate Pharaoh and the gods of Egypt **and** would cause the Egyptians to mock the true God.*[1]* **Verse 12** **(read)*
*(ii) **2nd* *God would be viewed as One who breaks promises.
He said He would make the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel (Jacob) innumerable and would take them into the Promised Land*[2]  *Verse 13* *(read)*
*3) **Moses’ prayer spared the people*, *Moses pleaded his case before God.

*a) **ISA 43:26*
*(i) **KJV* *“**Put me** in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.”*

*(ii) **NIV* *“Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence.”*[4]

*C) **1* of the *qualities* that *made Joshua walk in victory** are **found in* *EXO 24 12-15.*
*1) **God called Moses* to come up *into the mountain* *to receive the instructions* that *God had for* the nation of *Israel*.
*a) **Moses took Joshua** with him*, and *left everyone else below*.
*b) *As *Moses ascended up* the mountain, *he to** **left **Joshua behind** on the **slopes** of the mountain.*
*(i) **Joshua remained** on those slopes for **40 days and 40 nights*.
*c) *He *could have returned* to camp but even in a time of *feeling forgotten and unimportant*, he *remained fa**ith**ful*, doing what the Lord gave him to do *no matter what*.
*d) **Pro 25:13 *
*e) **Now **this is** **not only talking** **about** **faithfulness** to the **boss**, **job**, or **LEADERS**, but it is also **submission** **to their** **leadership**.*
*(i) **There is** **no real submission** **without faithfulness**, **and there is** **no real faithfulness** **without submission**.

*(ii) **The **word** **“submit”** **means**.
**“to yield to governance or authority.”*

*(a) **Why?** **Because** **they might know something** **that, you don’t.**

*(b) **Those in leadership or authority** have to **see the wholly picture**.

*f) **Luke 12:41-49*
*g) **Now of course this is about faithfulness, but true faithfulness is not only measured in what you are doing, but rather the heart.

*(i) **Story of the little boy standing and sitting.
His parents made him sit down, and the boy said, “I might be sitting down on the outside, but on the inside I’m standing up.” *
*(ii) **Can you see the difference of true faithfulness which has to do with willfully submitting and faithfulness with a rebellious heart.

*h) **2 Tim 2:1-7*
*(i) **We need more Joshua’s today**.*
*i) **PRO 28:20*
*(i) **The **word** **“Blessings”** could **also** be **translated** **“prosperous.”*
*(a) **The **word** **“Haste or Hastens”** **means**, **“hurrying or running without purpose.”*
*(ii) *There *may be times* that *you** **feel out of* the *mainstream* of the kingdom of God.
*(iii) *But *it’s that desire to go on with God*, that *stability* (*in Him* *and* *His Word*) that *faithfulness* to Him *are the **things that’s important him*.
*j) **As **Moses came down the mountain**,* he *heard* the sound of *music* coming *from the camp*.
The children of *Israel* had *begun* to *worship* the *golden calf*.
*2) **When **Joshua heard the sound* coming from the camp, *he said*, *“There is a noise of war in the camp.”*
*(EXO 32:17)*
*a) **Moses dismissed* that *observation** as* the *sound of **singing*, *not of war*.
*(i) **But there **truly was a war* in the camp.
It was a *spiritual war*.
*b) **This **understanding** of **spiritual battle** was the** **2nd** **of **Joshua’s qualities** **that aided him in** **conquering the Canaan land*.
*3) **(EPH 6:12)* Says, *“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high {places}.”*
*a) **1 translation says**, **“We struggle not against flesh and blood...”*
*b) **Another* *says, “**We contend not with flesh and blood...”*
*c) *The *RSV* *translation says*, *“But we do wrestle against the spiritual hosts of wickedness.”*
*(i) **That’s where **the battle **is*, *it’s a spiritual battle*.
*(ii) *We need to *be aware** of the **enemy’s spiritual strategies*.
*(iii) **Many homes could have been saved* and *tragedies avoided* *if* we would *not* have *overlooked this area**.*
*d) *Paul said in *(2nd Corinthians 2:11),* *“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”**
**It’s a spiritual battle.*
*e) **Rise up with the authority of God’s Word* *and* *bring* the *presence of the H.S*. *into the picture*, and *things** will begin to **change*.
*D) *In *EXO 33,* we see another part of *Joshua’s character.
