1:27), which included a moral and intellectual likeness to God.
Though this image was not erased (but only effaced) by the Fall (Gen.
9:6; James 3:9), yet it was corrupted and needs to be repaired and renewed.
Christians become increasingly like the Lord as they refresh their new natures, yielding to the Holy Spirit’s sanctifying work.*[5]*
!!!! c) This /task of bearing/ the /image of God/ is an /ongoing process/, It’s /being renewed/ /step by step/, /day by day/, /bearing/ /more and more/ of /His image/ /every day/.

!!!!! (1) The Amp which is probably better for this verse says, “And just as we have borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we and so tlet us also bear the image [of the Man] of heaven.”*[6]*
