Reporting the Good News!

Intro: The word “Gospel” itself means Good News. And to me when i think of Good news, one thing comes to mind! To me, GOOD NEWS is the TRUTH, the Whole TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH! The one big problem i have today with CNN, FOX NEWS, MSNBC, you name it all of them! never know if im getting the TRUTH, the whole TRUTH, and nothing but the TRUTH! I mean in one day they will all be covering the same story and all tell it different! Drives me CRAZY! But i get it, news is as only as good or as truthful as its source of information is.
The Gospel’s Source.
there was a time when i wondered what happens to me after i die. Will i live on? Where will i go?
i heard things here and there about heaven and good Karma but nothing was solid. And besides that i knew i wasn’t a good enough person to go to heaven. I believed in God but i was scared of God.
until one day i was sitting there in church listening to a Preacher Preach about the Gospel, about the GOOD NEWS he said.
He Preached Out of . i had heard that verse before, and i can remember thinking that “I want God to love me, i want to be His but im just not good enough. I had too much sin in my life.
Then He had us turn in the Bible to “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” and from “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” when he was done reading He said Jesus died to pay for our sin.
As im sitting there im thinking “that me, im the whole world, or somewhere in there! but again i started thinking about my sin and maybe they were too bad and worse than the rest.
and immediately the preacher got fired up and started naming sin, he said: for lying, its PAID FOR! for stealing, its PAID FOR! for murder, its PAID FOR! for the deepest darkest sin, its PAID FOR BY THE BLOOD CHRIST!
This was the answer to what i had been looking for. But i wondered how true it was, could the men who wrote the Bible got it all wrong, just like the news on TV? I wanted the truth more than anything.
after the service was over i went and talked to the Preacher and i told him i appreciated the message but i was just worried that maybe these men who wrote this scripture , who were probably really good men but nobody is perfect could have gotten it wrong on accident.
He took my Bible and turned to . he said Blake, they might have held the pen, but God was the source!
i knew than everything i had heard out of the Bible was truth! That what made the Gospel “Good News” was the source it came from!
later on after i left i read a verse of the bible in . and that is exactly what i did. and there that very instant Christ saved me.
2. Reporting the Good News
you know i have never forgot the preacher who gave me the Gospel. i hate to wonder where id be today if he would not have reported to me the Good news!
another thing i think of every time i think of the news is reporters. i mean without them we would never know whats goin on!
our principle of the week is “What Good is Good News if its not Shared?”
.
If today you are a christian, you are a reporter of the Gospel, of the GOOD NEWS!
in the Bible Jesus commands us to “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature!
you might think brother blake im not a preacher i dont know how to give someone the Gospel. why dont you just try and tell someone what happened to you when you got saved, like i did just now.
it doesnt matter where you are, how old you are or anything, God can use anyone in any situation.
tell the stroy of Chloe
is there someone right now the Lord has put on your mind. Someone who needs the Gospel, i encourage you to reach out.
if your thinking Blake the Gospel is GOOD NEWS but its also old news everyone already knows about Jesus, your thinking wrong! Everyone doesnt know! in the past year i have seen nearly 100 people, mostly teens recieve the Gospel and be saved.
Tell the story of Haylee
Jesus still saves, it still takes the Blood of Jesus
the Gospel isnt old news, its headline news daily!
if your watching and dont know if your saved and going to heaven please reach out to us
(Pray)
