Ask Anything: How do you make it even when you feel like you can’t?

Have you ever thought to yourself, I just can’t make it anymore? Or, I do not know if I have the strength any more.
This is a great question. The simple answer is, you cannot make alone. God has created us to be in relationship with Him and with others. There is a very real reason loneliness is so detrimental to our physical and spiritual health.
For this question we are going to turn to the book of Philippians. Philippians was written by the apostle Paul to the church located in Philippi. In his letter he gives multiple examples of why and how he pushes through.

Paul seems to have a choice here on what is going to happen to him. He is in prison and either is going to be executed , or he’s close to death and will give in. We are not 100% what the exact circumstances are, but what we do know is that he chooses to live for the sake of others.
Christ does not want you to give up, he wants you to push through, because to live is Christ. If you are do not have Christ as your Savior then you are not living for Him and you are not having the best life you could, you are living in the shade of life.
Jesus talks on this and what you can actually accomplish in this life in the book of John. Turn to (Read).
If you are in Him you will accomplish much and have a life worth living for, but apart from Him you can do nothing, nothing.

Read
There have been books and sermons written on just these two verses. What I want to point out is that in “Every Situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.” He is listening, He will help you through everything, all you need to do, is but ask. And the result is in verse 7. (Read )
Finally, skip down to verse 13. (Read )
Paul knows where His strength comes from, it is from Christ alone. Why? Look at verse 12. The secret of contentment is Jesus Christ. I want you to also look at verse 14. Paul notes in the sharing of of trouble with one another. He knows his strength comes from, but He also created us to be in relationship with one another, so we are not in this alone.
If you feel as though you can make it through, please cry out to God who will bring you a peace that surpasses all understanding. And, reach out to your pastor or someone you trust who has a relationship with Christ.
Please know that you are loved, you matter, and you are a beautifully valued child of God.
May the King of kings and Lord of Lords be a blessing to you always.
