This song must be t most scriptural Christmas song that I have ever heard. So were going to take different lines from this song & see what t Bible says about it. T Word of God will give us even more detail to t meaning of this song.

      I. T first line of that song is "Hark, t herald angels sing, glory to t new born king; peace on earth, and mercy mild."

                  A. LUKE 2:8-14

                              1. Here we see why t angels were singing, because Jesus was born.

                                          a. T angels appeared to these shepherds as a sign to them (V12), but it's also a sign to us.

                                          b. There were many people that had knowledge that t Son of God was born this day.

                                                      i. We had these shepherds, there was also Mary, Elizabeth, Joseph, t Wise men, w/ t wise man must have a big company of people, There was Simeon & Anna.

                                                      ii. LUKE 2:25-32

                                          c. We also have Anna mentioned right here in these Vs.

                                                      i. LUKE 2:36-38

                                          d. There were many witnesses to testify that Jesus was t son of God.

                                                      i. But t most important is that God testifies that Jesus is His son.

                                                      ii. MATT 3:17

iii. (2PET 1:17) says, "For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

iv. T Father testifies that Jesus is t Son of God.

                  B. In that 1st line that we read of "Hark, t angels sing, "he calls Jesus t "New Born King"

                              1. In t Book of (REV 19:16) It says, "And he hath on {his} vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

                              2. Then he goes on to say "Peace on earth," Jesus is t only one that will bring peace on earth. (V14)
