Sermon Tone Analysis

*“And the Lord said,… I know Abraham.) that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment,”* Genesis 18:17, 19.

 

*“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it,”* Proverbs 22:6, 7.

 

*“These words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently, unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walk by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up,” *Deuteronomy 6:6,7.

*“Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

The family is a divine institution, ordained and honored of God since the beginning of time.

*Children are very precious in the eyes of the Lord.*

*They are a gift from God**;* Children are a heritage of the Lord, *committed by Him to their parents for care,* *protection,** and training for His glory.*

*It is the duty of every parent to recognize this obligation and solemn responsibility to both God and the child in this matter.*

*The parents must recognize the sacredness of their charge,** and with all sincerity accept their responsibility for the nurture and admonition of this child in the ways of righteousness and godliness.*

*For Christian dedication,* *it is your duty to provide a Christian home and godly environment for her and see that she be taught as soon as possible, **the principles of Faith,** the Word of God, and the nature of the Christian life.*

*That she shall be trained to give reverent attendance upon the public and private worship of God* *and the teaching of the Holy Scripture,* *and that in every way,* *by precept and example,* *you shall seek to lead her into the love of God and the service of our Lord Jesus Christ.*
