prayer time and we wanted the Bible says that we should always pray and not faint and so I want you to know that God is called that's all inside that we might reflect that we might renew and that we might Pray and soul. I know this morning that your list of requests in your prayer list is the same as most of us. We're praying for our world with praying for the the people all over the world with praying for people that are in positions of leadership. whether that be governments or spiritual leadership houses of worship, but people are taking some of taking risk unnecessarily and we just want God's will to be done in every

and then we're praying for all of the sick people that people are sick because of the virus that people are bought a sick because of the spirit of infirmity. And so we want to continue to pray for the healing of the sick God Is A Healer amen and he's able to heal the sick and so we're as a church where interceding for them and then we're praying for this lost culture is told you that if there was no God that they didn't need it God and Bagel is equal to God, but with all of that changed and so we're praying that people won't be too proud to the, you know, one of the things that happens when people know that they are wrong sometimes Pride to get in the way and we'll talk about that a little later, but we don't want people to be too proud to repent and then we're praying for the church at a time like this. It's the people of God that's got to turn from their wicked way in and then seek the face of God, and so even still these numbers are to be a lot higher than they are and that they are to be thousands and thousands of people trying to get in the places of worship in and so if we're not doing our part that I'm praying that the church won't sleep during this critical hour in history. This is a time that the church does not need to be sleep, but we need to be on fire for God, so I want to thank you. So you should see the title of the text this morning is what shall I do with Jesus and it's going to be in Matthew 27 verse number 22 is where we going to focus our attention this morning. And so if you have your Bibles and you don't trust the screen then just get your Bible out that way, you know, you can trust your own your own feeling. Hope you don't have to take us at our word violet. Instead. So what should I do with Jesus the one called the clients? They answered crucifying and I want you to just sit and should have this morning that the text for our sermon this morning is what I've already announced but you got to ask yourself the question what shall I do with Jason if you have your Bible just put your hand on the lift it up to God and say this is the word of God and I am who he says I am I can do what he says I can do I can have what he says I can have I'm a Believer and not a doubt in Amador and not a hearer only. I confess my mind and heart are open to hear the word of God. I set my desire to please God by receiving gladly his word for my life. I am filled with the power to accomplish every purpose according to his kingdom agenda for my life. I am healed. I Am A lender and I am a leader and I am destined to be fruitful and good works. I've been equipped in the word of God that I may be a blessing to the people connected to my life today. I am Changed by the word of God renewing my mind and I can do all things through Jesus Christ Our Lord a man this question. But what shall I do with Jesus is an inescapable question. It's a question that we have. All got to render and answer to we've all got an answer that question and sold as we consider this text. What shall I do with Jesus we should be able to understand that. This is an unacceptable question that this isn't unescapable question. And then I text pilot can't run from it. The religious leaders can't run from it. The rappers can't run from it. The crowd can't run from it and I came to tell you the day you can't run from it. You got to decide what you're going to do with Jesus. And that's we look at the world and the condition of it today. We all need to recognize that God has said to all of us and you may not accepting what you going to have to make a decision about him. And nobody is going to be able to get away with the fact that we must decide that we must decide what we're going to do with Jesus. I just saw somebody has to question. But where in Matthew chapter 27 and verse 22 in case you don't see it on your screen. So I asked that how we will deal with this question this morning. And so when we when we think about this, this is Jesus is standing before Pilate and pilot is the governor of Judah. He's appointed that buy season and he's there in a in a monetary matter. He's really there to collect the taxes and make sure that sees or gets his money but in this matter concerning Jesus the the chief priests in the relay. Just leaders recognize that they don't have the authoritative to kill they don't have the authority to murder. And so what they're doing that are using their influence to persuade pilot political power to make a decision about Jesus and so are saying is if Jesus is brought before the governor and he's there because the governor has the power that he can decide who lives and who dies. That's why they have brought him to Jesus. And if you really want to look at this from a practical application it it's it's a political attempt to use their influence with the people to persuade this politician and how he should vote on their issue. And so everything of the Bible says there's nothing new Under the Sun and so we see the same conduct being carried out today and what we all understand is that it's nothing new nothing new Under the Sun. And so when it comes to this matter of the politicians trying to decide about what should happen with the life of people It's nothing new about it. And so I want you to just recognize that this is happened before and so I want us to consider this morning of April Thailand is considering what is he going to do about Jesus that probably got some problems because according to the scriptures they had three charges that they were bringing against Jesus. The first one was that he was too verting the people in other words are they didn't like what he talked it in life that Jesus spoke and things that were Hard for them to comprehend. He spoke in spiritual things and they were very carnal. And so he he didn't he didn't fall in line with their expectations. And so Jesus was revolutionary when it came to his relationship with God. You see the the chief priests in the scribes. They were religious people but they were not relational. They didn't have a relationship with God and so they were always looking for a reason to rid themselves of Jesus because he had more influence on the people than they did in and so they accuse Jesus number one of subverting the people that he was turning the nation against Caesar that he was turning the nation against their religious order and they didn't like that and so they found a way to bring Jesus before Pilate. Let's and and they pumped up some charges if it's so charge number one and they said that you are subverting the People's Choice number to that got next to the pilot because they said that he's also telling us not to pay taxes. And and that's where they lied because Jesus did not tell them not to pay taxes. He simply told them to render to Caesar. What was Caesar and then surrender to God what was done and so it wasn't a matter that Jesus told them not to pay taxes and in he doesn't tell us even the day that week or shouldn't pay our taxes, but what he does say is that you shouldn't pay the tax and not pay the tithe. So your man somebody I know that that that's a word dropped straight from the Throne of God because I'm looking to get the taxes and I watch Happy. Scramble, this is the first quarter of the year and everybody's got their mind on that taxes because not necessarily what they pay for what they about to receive and now they got their mind on the stimulus, but it that they're going to get from the government, but I got two words for you the government. Is not that your provider and I want you to let that soak in if you've been thinking that the government's your provider that you've been thinking wrong and that may be part of the reason for this shutdown is because job is hours provide Jehovah rophe BB cream and declared that I shall supply all of your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And so the government is not our provider. Would you turn to the government? It's like the children of Israel turning the bell and I've heard all of this that stimulus money get it if you can get it. I'm not knocking that at all Pagan five out of it. You should do what you're supposed to do with it. But the point that I'm making is that Jesus did not teach not to pay the tithe of Jesus to pay. What was Ren What does Caesar give it to her what surrender to God give it to him trouble that we have is that we do for season but we don't do for God. I'll let that settle in soak in and then they charge Jesus of saying that Jesus was that he claimed to be a king that he said that he was the king so they brought him up on treason. They they charged him saying that he was trying to overrule season season was the only King in and Thailand is a governor. He's a pro cookbook for killer tears as they refer to him. He was one appointed by the governor or the king the ovary at that jurisdiction of Judea. And so now they're saying that he's also claiming that he's the king and so treasonous what they are charging G. And in the fact of the matter is Jesus is the key that now that he cannot deny. Jesus is the king. I don't care who thinks. They're the king. But Jesus is the king somebody else to say if he's not your king. He's my king. Let me tell you something. We are in this world but not of the world and when it comes to who the king is Jesus is the king Trump is not the king and and Putin is not the king and whoever else may be sitting in the seat of of authority, but what's a better recognize it that they don't hold Authority under God. He's the king and pile it is now asked to sit in the judgement seat to determine the fate of Jesus, but it gets a word from his Godly. Why not? Hot Godly he was because record is is that pilot was a hard man. He was a hard man to deal with he was a kind of of Governor that you didn't want to have to come before but but now that he is standing before the true king. The Holy Ghost has send a message to Miss pilot my way of bedroom chamber angels have come and deliver the message tour in a dream and tells her know you tell your man tell you you better go tell pilot. I know he thinks he's bad. They think he's got us are right there, but he better not have anything to do with that Jesus because Jesus is a just man and he's innocent and so pilot is sitting on the judgement seat, but he's conflicted till he's conflicted. He's he's considering his political career, but he's also considering what his conscience is. Play him about this man who is standing before him? Let me tell you something pilot is placed in the position where you listed he's given an opportunity and this is what I really want us to take away from this text this morning is that God gives trial in an opportunity of a lifetime that he can decide whether to accept Jesus Auto reject Jesus, he can decide whether he will believe him or whether he will disbelieve in but God has presented him with an opportunity and with every opportunity that God gives you a choice and so the first so what's that is made concerning Jesus by Pilot is at the end of it probably does all that. He can to try to convince. Jesus is accused of this tell me what has he done it what what has he done? Because the charger that you're bringing I can't see this man being killed it, but what you're charging him with. Then I got a rule that that that that I can do something I can be trying to find a way out but he says now at this time a Paso, but I can release to you a prisoner that we've got a man here bring me and in the mind of pilot. I'm stepping into his mind for a second and I can just believe the pilot is thinking and how can I get myself out of this tight situation and then bring me the worst notorious criminal that we've got in our sail and so they bring up Barabbas and they say now I know if I give them a choice between Jesus and Barabbas that they going to choose what rappers think of that shoe Cheese's over Barabbas, but the work of the Pharisees in the high priests in the scribes a religious leaders, they wouldn't have any of that and if so, they put it back on pilot and because pilot is a man who is thinking more of his Position then he is your spiritual condition. You see that's the danger of politicians. They care more about their political positions than they do about their spiritual condition.

It's a pile. It makes a decision about Jesus by being on decided and brothers and sisters. I I tell you that's that that that that's that's that's sitting on the fence. That's not making a choice. That's not being decisive is not being determined and what happens when Jesus is presented to Pilot pilot is undecided about what he's going to do and so he says you do what you will with him. I'm washing my hands of the matter, but let me just say that you just can't watch him off. You can't just washed Jesus off with water with all them told to wash your hands in to make sure that we practice hygiene that we're not touching our faces with our hands because the virus is spreading but that's just seeing this virus is like seeing all of us. Infected with it and all of us can die from it and you just can't wipe it off. It's got to make a decision. When it comes to Jesus, what you going to do with it father decides not to this signed. Can we go to the religious leaders? And when we look at the good real religious leaders look at the idea that things were legislators. What is there hang up with Jesus? What? Is there a problem with chases you got to be asking what is their problem that they have with Jesus? They wanted to kill Jesus that this is irony that that we are to be at least considering it considering and I and I and I and our minds because how could the religious leaders want to kill? Wouldn't it be that the religious leaders with water loving and one of my friends and come to the rescue of the aid of people that are false late charge wouldn't you think that that would be the religious of posture and position but no no no, let me get maybe drop this word in you it's because people are religious vaccination lsim is it is when people are fanatical people are fanatical about something and you mix that that's fanatical attitude with a religious passion those people become deadly. Can you get these people that are so radical and soak a caught up on on on being a dog, and they're so caught up in their self-righteousness and you put that self-righteousness with religious passion. These people become assassin it take become a hitman assassinate. They went out and they are saturated the character of Jesus now that he is with his a perfect man that these religious leader a going around assassinating his character. They they lied or they they they said that he talked against Caesar which he didn't they call them or a wine-bibber. They accused him of hanging out with Sinners. How could a man that claims to be equal to God hang out with Sinners, but what they didn't understand was that Jesus didn't The problem. Is that the problem.

They did that to Jesus was where he should have been mentally and spiritually and and in all practical living he was where he should have been but they were the ones who always wearing the long roads trying to look a certain way bed all fires about that the Nina and all the Lord this than the Lord that you know, whatever you find people that tablet down until there's no earthly good. You got a problem with when you got people that are so Heavenly bound they become no earthly good and the greatest problem that Jesus has is with religion because this is the problem these people became as I've already stated. They are fake baby myth assassination on the physical life of Jesus on the spirit of spiritual character of a people they are the ones that I called Kingdom police always find a What's wrong with folk? Never see anything wrong with themselves? Nothing wrong with you send wrong, but you ought to start in your own house. Jesus says you ought to get this the plank out of your eye before you try to get the splinter out of mind, but when people are so caught up in religious passion and when they're so caught up in all of this.

So so high-minded and nnnnn soap always finding fault in others. They always go around looking to see what's wrong with people missing this like this tastes a little pro-life, they f*** they pro-life but they oppress the poor if they aren't they pro-life but they are pressed but they oppress the poor in other words. They think they say don't kill the baby, but they just withhold services that the baby needs to live a quality life.

Sikh religious institutions hate the truth because it exposes their hypocrisy. You see before all of this happened. It was the evangelicals that I've been down. So I'm not one of them and I have no problem you not one of them either because what they project the word they hijacked the word Evangelical and they made it represent the right wing of the political political institution. And so now they're calling themselves evangelicals and they're the ones who had crowned this President the chosen one. They called him that I was the one that I need that note 1st Corinthians from 2nd to Corinthians, and he probably had been to Sunday school and had the knowledge. I got no problem with that. But the problem I got is when the church lined up with him just like in the text that hear the church is lighted or not to church your this relief religious people are lining up with pilot. Did they get behind Pilots because they need pilot to carry out that Dirty Works. In other words. They're hiding that dirt behind pilot just like this religious right when they are hiding their dirt behind Trump, but got exposed. It just like Jesus expose their hands in the text. God is exposed it. He's exposed that lack of commitment to him. Listen, if you want to know what a hypocrite is like you are the consent of Judas was one of the Twelve Oaks, but Judas is the one that betrayed him with a kid who talked about hypocrisy at its height is when somebody pretends to love you, but then can't wait to portray you say whatever thing but like Christ when you look at the when you look at these people that are calling themselves the evangelicals they are everything but like Christ. Everything but like Christ, they don't want they don't want people to mix with him. If they're not the same color. They don't want to equal out the the pay of people. They don't want people to to be treated justly they side with Injustice over over Justice think they they are everything but Christ like and so the reason being is because Jesus Jesus comes with the power to liberate. She sets the captives free. They want the captain to be set free. They wanted the captive to be pet oppression under them. They Lord it over the people like they were greater than the people they walked around with that Rose and that Pious attitude and they wanted the people to looked at them as if they worked out anybody that's trying to be God in your life is a hypocrite because he knows we're full. Well as she knows full well that she's not God and any pretense of being God is simply your apocracy anybody that's born again recognizes that I am what I am by the grace of God it is you can't find one born-again believer that would try to compete with God. People that try to compete with the other people who haven't been born by God because all of us Born Again know that it is by grace that we are saved.

Is unmerited favor. Will you spawn religious people that always looking down on people that always wanting to find folding people. You know what that is that denying the power of God and that's what happens when they're confronted with Jesus. They deny the power of Jesus Timothy Paul writes the Timothy and said that the time is coming that men will have a form of godliness but denying the power thereof and that's what religion does that's what religion religion is all about its influence but not about God's power and let me tell you it's by God's power that I'll eyes have been changed not by my influence with the to let me tell you something. I'm not trying to persuade not one politician to do not one thing. You know, what a my job is the prey for a politician that he was fine. Hit Christ in his Like I'm not I'm not playing politics. I'm not trying to use my little cloud of my stage my platforms because every time you do that at some point or another you got a compromise and the compromise is where everything goes wrong.

I wish I could turn these Mike's on somebody ought to be saying amen Subway around this church. They ought to be saying amen somewhere. Let me tell you something. Whenever you start trying to use your influence in order to try to prevent to try to persuade people by your influence. All you're doing is using politics.

In the Bible reminds us not by power not by might nor by power everything that moves in this world moves by the spirit of God when men move it let me tell you something. It's going to be come on. It's going to be unmoved. So when God does it it can't be moved.

When God shuts a door can't be open when God opened the door. It can't be shut. When Jesus confronts this religious institution this political institution. Let me think of something the political institution decides to remain neutral under and that's because when you look at that politicians, he's for whatever's go get him a boat.

That's right, You might as well face it it's whatever's going to get him a boat. That's what he's for. Don't you seem flip flopping around all the time. Why because they can't take a definitive stand. They can't be all about one thing. They have to be what's best for their political career. So when you see religious people in the bed with political people, I tell you what you got you got two thieves walking together was the one who betrayed Jesus. The big listen you think Judas was the man. He's carrying the sack. But you know, what? What what the deal was he was only interested in the bag he could care less about the master. He didn't care anything about Jesus matter of fact, he gave him up for 30 pieces of silver and that's what happens when the religion is in control. All religion cares about is what's in it for me what's in it, but what can I get out of this a man? Because they did not have the power of God. Listen. I know that there's some fellas and I'm praying for these pastors and leaders of churches. I just never saw leadership be so fickle people putting people's lives at risk to bring a large. Is that because they want to worship. Cuz you can worship God like what doing on the phone right where we are and I know I don't need a Pulpit to preach. I'm a preacher because I've been born again and been called to carry this gospel. You were the night and I'll preach now I may not be nothing else, but I will preach But when you look at all of these risks that are being taken talking about the freedom of religion and how the state can't govern over the church. That's not a bad Jesus. That's about the purse.

That's because they don't trust God that the people of God to go to do my God ain't going to get what they need. In order to take care of us obligations that the church had just that they got a pretend that that that that so concerned about being in that house. Listen. Let me tell you something. If you go do right by God you going to do it whether it's from your house or his house or wherever you are in the world. If you not if you're not going to do right by God and a matter of fact, I really would prefer that you love God before you give anything to God because Paul says this is what they did first. They gave themselves to the Lord and then they gave themselves to us. Any any any any believer that's really been born again knows what he's got to do when it comes to his ties his time his talent if you got to be reminded that this is Sunday and you got to be told every week, you know you over the tide you if you got to be told every every day that you order set your affections on things above not on things of the earth, and I and I understand what it means to be encouraged. But I do not understand the person that acts as if because they're not at church that they don't have a responsibility that because we're not at church that I'm not required to pray. I'm not required to study the word.

So when it comes to religion these religious people the power of God expose their hypocrisy Jesus show them up they invent they were envious of Jesus because of the way he made them look because they were powerless and he had all the power. Nobody came to them to get here where the that's not one record in the Bible where anybody went to the Pharisees are the scribes and got him.

But all over the scriptures they came to Jesus. He opened blinded eyes. He gave us a woman and son back and brought Lazarus back from the dead took two fish five loaves of bread Fayetteville. What time is it for another time? He walked on water. Can I get a witness is in the NBA has the power the power is in Jesus. Do you is Wendy's it comes to you and Jesus don't deny the power of the power. Don't take religion over the power of God, don't I have it? Have more than just a habit don't do things out of routine. Individual. That is led by the spirit of God a man. He's a pothead Hypocrites these religious leader who helped resume. Let me hear Rihanna. I got to get to Barabbas why the Raveis? What is it about Barabbas with that they were that they were willing to why would they take the rappers that when you think about it? That's not a lot that the Bible tells us about the rabbits.
