Hebrews 10:32–39 NIV84
32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34 You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For in just a very little while, “He who is coming will come and will not delay. 38 But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.” 39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.

1. We must have childlike confidence in God

A child only know how to survive
A child will follow the parent anywhere
A child will always be with the parent
A loving parent will never intentionally do anything to harm his/her child
We must be confident that our Heavenly Father will never allow harm to come us

2. Your experience with God determines your faith

Remember what God has done for you
Think of the trials you have overcome because of Him
Remember, you are more than a conqueror in Christ
If you have been through trials, you know what God can do

3. Keep your confidence in God

God is still able
God is still stronger
No weapon formed against you will prosper
God is for you and never against you

4. Active faith pleases God

Faith without works is dead
Talking faith is no faith
Active faith is pleasing to God
By faith, the saints of old, pleased God
We have to live by faith
We are an Active Faith Church not a shrinking in fear church
We are a Healthy Church not a hiding church

5. Faith over fear

Don’t fear what man can do to you
With God all is possible
The House of God is a safe place
If the government tells us to close, they are missing with God’s people
God is protecting His children
If you persevere you will receive the reward
We receive the reward when we do the will of God
