Our disobedience introduced sin into God’s creation

The primary break in relationship is between God and humanity

After the fall, Adam and Eve feel ashamed and unfit to stand before God

We continue to attempt to rule in our own right; we continue to usurp God

Because of our disobedience to God, our horizontal relationships break down as well

Even the most intimate relationships are characterized by a desire to rule

Our relationships are characterized by relational friction rather than relational harmony
