Text Dyer but we are very glad that you are here with us today that she was a very unpresidented time in our society that I don't believe anybody has ever a culture or anyting is experience. Of course A lot of it is brought on by social media. Go figure is the course today. We are using social media to with each other in so I am very excited about that as a potential this there is also a lot of opportunity for criticism and everything. We have looks like we have about fifty one View and with us right now and I won't Kentucky Church expecially to know I know that there's preachers that are hopping around because I've been doing it listening to bits and pieces of farming is this morning and in and out but you do know that when you check out of this than I do know when you leave and so don't check out in the middle of my sermon here in just a little bit but We thank you all very much for tuning in. Welcome to my home. This morning was pretty cool where they were meeting and house-to-house and now we're not literally meeting in house to house. But we are we meeting at the house the house today as we have people gather to all around the numbers of people watching still continue to go up but let's open up in a word of prayer this morning. We thank you for your love. We thank you for all that. You have done for us there my father we know that this virus that's going around here. And my father is a a deadly virus. We know that many people have died already. We know that the the sickness and everything that comes from it and because of that we've been kind of corn are houses the Lord's this is no surprise to you and we still know that you are in control. We know that you are on the road that we just come to you and we just asked you to give us the faith that we need to do to be able to come up with ways to minister to ways to to still get your gospel out there to the world. For all those today that are listening those that are unable to listen with us today because of technical stuff and because of Facebook account when we just ask them later in our regular recording to be able to reach down to them and just give them the things that they stand in need of this morning through your Holy Spirit. We love you. We thank you and we look forward to seeing what you're going to do through all of this in your name. We pray. Amen. It is great to have each and everyone of you this morning. We kind of jumped ahead last week and I kind of dealt with worry and some things that going on because of the virus not knowing that it was going to be this long may be stretched out and our governor is saying possibly are pikas not even six to eight weeks away. And so it's going to be fascinating to see how things turn out and what begins to happen and where we go from here. And what happens in the next I know. Jerry Kentucky, we have dismissed all of our services until April and I am hoping and praying that my Palm Sunday April 5th that we will be able to be back in our congregations again worship with each other. I look forward to Easter the very next Sunday you and I know that if we get out on Easter and get to come to church that not only will we be celebrating the resurrection and the life of Jesus Christ. It will also be ever sent me celebrating the resurrection of our life in newness of life in wow. Wow, what an analogy and stuff that we will be able to have with that and so I want to Welcome All of You members on Welcome All of You Guessed here this morning that is there. We're going to do something that I've never done before is an expository preacher and that's skip some versus we are going to jump over if you have your Bibles this morning turn to 1st Peter chapter 2 First Peter chapter 2 and we are going to jump over verses 3 through 10. We actually didn't finish verses 1 and 2. Hurry, when we look at this a couple of weeks ago and so we're going to jump over 3 through 10 because I want to get to verse 11 through 17 this morning because I've had a lot of people questioned lot of people ask about is it right to give up these church services and not assemble together and all of these things if I witness skip last week and done something differently. We would be right here unpresidented this morning. It's amazing to see how the Holy Spirit guides and Direction and works in our lives. Even when we don't know the things God already knew that this Sunday in this passage would be there and that's what I love about expository preaching because it lets us build our faith for Jesus Christ and so my daughter and I am just got here in for the worship service today. So I'll have a few people looking at me and Parker Jordan's here and so is the family are all assembled here in the house today and we are glad to be with you. She said if you turn your Bibles to 1st Peter chapter 1 verse 11 about living his pilgrims and strangers in this world that when we are saying that we are we are no longer products of this world become spiritual products of Jesus Christ. And today we are going to look at if you were being obedient. If you are a child of God come natural to u.s. Submission. That's what we're going to look at submissions this morning. So if you have your Bibles, we're going to begin reading and verse 11. He says dearly beloved. I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lust which war against the soul having your conversation honest among the Gentiles that whereas they speak against they made by your good works, which they Shall Behold glorify God in the day of visitation submit yourselves to every ordinance of men for the Lord's sake. Supreme or in the governor's for the punishment of God with well doing as free and not using the liberty for a cloak of maliciousness. But as the Servants of God honor all men love the Brotherhood fear God honored the Keen as we look at this passage of scripture chapter 2 started off in verse 1 through 3 talkin about our Separation by birth every one of you I hope and pray that come to life saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and accepted him as your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was the son of God that he died on the cross of Calvary far since he was buried and that he rose again on the third day to set us free from sin and to set us free from death, which is the wages of sin.

How do I get into the spiritual Kingdom? How do I get into the to Heaven Beside You must be born again and so verses 1 through 3 deal with that spiritual birth in that the fact that we are separated unto God by birth and then versus three or four that we still we are also separated by believe we choose to believe in God we choose to believe the things of God. We choose to have faith in God and trust him no matter what the situation no matter what the circumstances we still believe. We have faith enough to trust God and do obey God and so as we look at this we come to verse 11 and I want us to understand that verse 11 on down deals with our Behavior because we have been separated unto God there's some things in our our life is our Behavior. Change need to come under the authority in the lordship of Jesus Christ in his we look at these things. We notice first of all that what we find is the appeal to submit. We find there in verse 11. He says that dearly beloved I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul noticed the appeal to submit. Who is he who he is a feeling first of all to the the strangers and pilgrims on this Earth. Remember that we are not residents of of Earth wewe. This is not our residents. This is not our home. We are now because of our birth because of our beliefs we are citizens of heaven. We are citizens in the kingdom of God and we are just children's in stranger to your know. What does it mean about a stranger to stranger is someone who dwells alongside or is exiled but it's home. I swear that's all about to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. And as we look at this the Believers upon Perfection of life in Morality and Justice of a home in a world where Perfection is the rule and the standard we are to live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ in everything that we do now. This does not mean that we don't have to obey the legal laws of the land because when I travel to Mexico or I travel to other countries I am still obligated to abide by the rules. I can't just say what hey, I'm not a citizen here, so I don't have to obey your laws and so really that's what we come into today is wine the war. We not having church service in homes in doing Facebook live is because our government has asked us to quarantine ourselves government has asked us to tonight conjugate. Lakewood more than 10 people right now. And so we're trying to obey thee on and we're going to look here more in the message this morning on exactly why we do that and so a stranger has to do with being exiled and then he uses the word peel Drummond. It really has more of a temporary ideas and stranger actually does even though we're living here is exiled in this world is not her home a pilgrim has the idea as a visitor are Sojourner is sad that so many of us today. We have everything that we do in life is for building up of a home in a family in a job and a career and everything that is here on this Earth in this Pilgrim test to remind us that you are just visited here. You are a Sojourner. You're not to put down Roots transformed by the gods sent your bodies a Living Sacrifice. And so what are they? Lust of the flesh notice. He says the Earth is not your Residence Inn. So therefore the flash does not rain. The flesh does not rain he goes on and he mentions there are shoes white fights and wars with our souls as soon as we look at this. I forget to tell Casey the slides that I normally put up in the morning is that I'm trying to do that for the live broadcast. You can go back and watch guava are recorded on Kentucky missionary baptist churches websites and you'll get all the slides in the information that I have therapy for 5 and verse 19 says now the works of the flesh are manifest which of these are times when we think about Flash we think about sexual and lust and things like that but notice this list doesn't show goes on to include others. Also. He said the works of the flesh are adultery fornication uncleanness lasciviousness idolatry witchcraft hatred. Where is trash sedation Terrace East Indians murders drunkenness revellings in such lights of the which I tell you before as I've also told you in time past that they would do such inherit the kingdom of God In the Flesh. It is often times leads us to the things that we don't need to do and where not to allow voice train to rule. We are to subject our flesh to our spirit in the spirit says if we are bearing fruit and we will Galatians chapter 5 go down there in the next part of that first from passage of scripture and said that the fruit of the spirit is Lee's Lovejoy goodness gentleness self-control. These things will be added unto warlock which one to shoot in the flesh rain in our lives what I want you to notice. First of all, this is Peter Hitchens here is because it weakens our freedom you see when we allow Boyish to get in the warlocks when we allow this flesh to take over in to rain in our lives than what begins to happen is is our freedom begins to go away notice. The extrication is very strong here. He says I'm staying from fleshly lusts which war against your soul. And what happens is when you succumb to your flesh. What happens is that in boys and what happens is is all of a sudden you become slave to that flesh and it weakens the freedom of your soul the freedom to live if you remember back in the Gospel of John John wrote his gospel that you may learn to live and I have life and life more abundantly and that's God's desire for us, but we cannot live spiritually and we cannot live in a bun when we are sick slave by the Flesh. And so we see all kinds of things that we lost four when we Lust For Drugs what happened didn't slaves I watch this week. But a guy that just been hooked on all kinds of bad drugs and stuff for her for quite a long time and he said now he doesn't even look at it as being an addiction to drugs as much as a medication to keep them alive and how sad that his life revolved and rotated completely around that but we see for a plus for alcohol or cigarettes or shed sharks are pornography are or even money or any of these things when our flesh craves and desires these things what happens if you become track for that in your life is no longer live for God because you have to question and everything's about your flash drives you and those you but not only does it weaken our faith. Is he mentions here but fleshly lusts also directs our future in other words. What are we supposed to be doing notice what he says here in this passage of scripture and verse boils that we are at he says miss you so much.

Having your conversation dearly beloved. I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lusts which war against your soul having your conversation honest among the Gentiles that whereas they speak against yours evildoers. They made by your good works, which they shall glorify God in the day of visitation and so notice how it destroys your peace. It destroys your security because even during this commotion and all of this problem with the cove at 19 and everybody thinks I'm not worried about what's going to happen here. It doesn't matter about the disease or whether I want to catch the virus or not catch the virus because everything that happens here is temporary and God says that if the worst thing that could happen is that I could die over this but guess what God promises us that could be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord and so we have that to look forward to but listen if you're enslaved by the flesh that you're going to be worried about to Tomorrow you're going to be worried about food and you're going to be acting like so many in the world today that is 14 up all kinds of stuff because they have no hope for the future. They have no hope of an eternity. All we have is right now and after this they're going to spend an eternity in a devil hell and soak speargrass me for everything because they are enslaved by this life, and they are enslaved by SIA and what happens if there's they cannot see any future, but this morning Peter is trying to remind us that Jesus Christ gives us a future Jesus Christ gives us hope of an eternity and so do not let the flesh rain. Don't allow it to weaken your freedom. You need to be able to live you need to be able right now even amongst all of this is going to be able to minister to your foolish to be able to minister to whoever wherever so that we can spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but also we don't want you to place Arranged in order that it might wreck your future and saw the next thing that he brings up is the aim of that submission. What is the name? Why should we submit to our government? Why should we submit our bodies to God and our spiritual things and not allow our flesh to rain notice what he says in verse 12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles that whereas they speak against you as evil doers. They made by your good works, which they Shall Behold glorify God in the day of visitation from fleshly to wash because why because people are watching you right now people are watching lead in your post on Facebook. They are looking at how you act how you react how you handle the situation how you handle what's going on in our world in our society today? And listen, we don't need to help the loss. We don't need to help centers notice what he says. Here in this ain't unbelievers are going to recite against you. They going to say evil things about you. They're going to say bad things about Christians that we don't care about people because some people this morning wants to steal conjugated it have their church services in buildings. And there's those that already lashing out on Facebook because they they they say you don't care about people or anything else but listen people are going to say evil about you but notice what he says, he says we need to realize unbelievers need to realize the truth no matter what they say or how they respond to our actions are what we do. We need to be living in such a way that they realized the truth that we really do care for people that we really do love people in the whole body of the church and I put this on Facebook this morning the whole idea of the church and its Peters going to dress Us in chapter 5 that has ministers. We are Shepherds and the part of the church is Opportunity for us to a symbol of opportunity for us to come together and during the week for me to go out amongst the sheet for to examine to see you to talk to you to smell you to hear your words to know that you're healthy to know that you're living for Jesus Christ and know that there's nothing wrong sadly. We have many that are probably listening here this morning that don't have heard and pain in their hearts. But because of the text you're acting like you're you're putting up comments and acting like your life is good. It's everything is wonderful. Everything Is Not Great everything is not wonderful week enjoy this time with each other being at the house, but I would much rather be out of months you I would much rather shake your hand this morning. I would much rather hug your neck this morning. It's a real Ira need to realize the truth of the matter is is that we do love God and we are trying to do the very best and even though we've been quarantined we are looking we're seeing many ministers were seeing many. People that are using different Technologies and all kinds of things to be able to reach out to talk to people I texted and I've called and checked on our elderly this week to see what we can do. Instead of going to the hospital to visit with people. I've had to call and pray with them over the phone and reach out for new ideas and new ways and maybe I don't get to see what they feel like, but hopefully I'll pray that God will allow me to hear what they feel like as I talk to him and pray with them over. The phone is saying here. Is that our life and we abstain from the foyer when we live for Jesus Christ and it doesn't matter what the unbelievers are going to say. They're going to say and do what they do, but you're not a resident here. This world is not your home is so just you keep living you keep doing so that these unbelievers realized the true that we really do love everyone that we really do care for everyone. Here's the ultimate goal here is the ultimate purpose notice. He says which they Shall Behold glorify God in the day of visitation. Here's why we do what we do because we want unbelievers to ultimately Revere. God says that one of these days every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords, and I want you to understand this morning, except Jesus Christ as their personal savior this morning when they stand before the great white Throne judgment is still before God and give all of their reasons on why they didn't accept Jesus Christ or why they didn't believe Jesus Christ. I do not want them to point their finger at Donnie Haines and say that he was alive that he live for the flesh that he kept me from knowing Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and I want them to be able to know when they bow before God. The outlived honestly and if they were wrong about Donnie Haines, they were wrong about Kentucky Missionary Baptist Church. And so no matter what they say. We still live and do what we're supposed to do it. So expecially in these times today spoke. We need to stain from the flesh. We need to start living for God. We need to be a Living Sacrifice. Holy and acceptable unto God which my dad Paul says is are reasonable service. And so that is the aim of submissions. That is why we do what we do at that they are but then he finishes up in Barstow 17 and notice the verse 17 the the agenda of submission here is what we are trying to accomplish his honor all men. That means we respect everybody. We expect save Weber specs lost. We respect Ridge we were expecting for we respect every We honor everybody we put everybody else's needs above ourselves, which is a matter of fact and second greatest commandment of all where Jesus Christ said to love your neighbor as yourself, we honor all men but then he says that we love our brothers. We need to be reaching out to our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. We need to be texting each other. We need to be checking each other. We need to be sending each other scriptures right now because we have that technology. We don't have to go door-to-door. We can go phone to phone we can go phone to iPad. Whatever it is. We can begin to reach out to each other. We can love each other we could lift each other up during this time. So that the body stays true so that the body stays well, so that unbelievers see that no matter what happens or corteen is not going to stop us from being the church no matter what they do. It is not going to matter and so notice that what he says here as he he does a lot. Loyalty to respect we have to love everybody but then there's a lord to respond. He says honor God honor God. We need to love God with our whole heart with our whole mind in our whole street. We need to do everything to serve God because knowing this that weather saved or whether lost all of us will stand before Jesus Christ one day all the way all of us will give an account for what we do man. I hope that I don't have to stand because I was foolishly hoarding up stuff for taking stuff that someone else might need or I could use because they don't have the resources that I'm able to have. And so we have to live every single day in light of God. We want God to be glorified but didn't notice the last thing he said, I'd love to reveal the ultimate bottom line is is that God wants us to love him. God wants us to glorify him. But the bottom line is is that God sent his son Jesus Christ. On the cross of Calvary because he loved and we really are glorifying God and serving God listen to me very carefully charge. We are going to love each other no matter saved or lost rich or poor no matter what we have to reach out. Let me ask you a question this morning. Are you serving the flesh? Are you serving God? What are you serving? What are you doing? Do you need to abstain from the Flesh and submit to God? Sinners are watching you Sinners are seeing how you respond how you react and what you do they're going to talk. They're going to critique they're going to say things that that are not true and they're going to lie about you and everything else. We've already seen in chapter one that listened Peter said we're all going to go through persecution. We're all going to go through suffering but we shouldn't have to give them a reason to persecute us done notice. She says we do good the government's not going to do us, you know, the government's not trying to shut down churches right now that are delivering food to two kids right now that are out of school that don't have anything the government's not griping about churches that are reaching out and given money to different people and carry in water and sand reaching out to their communities right now. The government is not trying to do anything. It's not trying to take away our ministry whatsoever. And so therefore we need to obey the government. We need to quarantine we need to do what we should do cuz this too shall pass but as we are. We need to have in mind that Sinners are watching and we need them to see a God that loves them a God that cares for them a god that is not a god of fear. Satan is fear. We are forgiven the Wilds of conquerors. We are alive and we've been given Victory and so we need to live like that Victory listen to me this morning. God wants the glory and I don't know how to give an invitation over the Internet other than just to give it and I will hope and pray that if any of you Jesus Christ is dealing with right now, if you'll take a moment to shoot me a, show me at our messenger if you don't want to be seen publicly or whatever and I'll promise you I will immediately respond and I will be watching over the next little bit to see if there's any way that I could play for you anything that I can do for you because listen this is going to pass. And what is the world going to look like look at how is the world going to look at in perceive us as a church as Christians as families and as individuals abstain from fleshly lusts boys easy to do things right now because nobody's watching and no one's around. It's easy to think that we're getting away from things. But listen to me God knows and God's watching and sinners are watching also your kids or grandkids those that are around you or seeing don't let you be the reason that they turn from God into the world of you and we love you. We just hope your Holy Spirit takes this message today and uses it for your honor and For Your Glory to reach the hearts of people. You're my father. Give us a servant's heart. Give us a loving heart or just help us to hear about the things that you care about your children the Lost in the world, the neighbor this down the road there was shut in that can't do things you've reached out. This unique opportunity in this unique time to be able to find ways to ministering to reach out while still wonderfully gave us the right in the ability to live in Lord. I'm so glad that you placed me in America to live to worship to to serve my father help us to also understand that this is temporary and that we have a greater Kingdom and we have a greater loyalty than even here and your most precious name. We pray. Amen Kentucky church. I want to thank you very much. If you would like to maybe do some small group Bible studies or if you would like to do some other things are some Facebook live or if you have questions right now, as you are I want to encourage you to study your bible to read have family devotions during this time to to having all kinds of take use of all this opportunity to grow spiritually to grow physically mentally and everything the ocean as we do these If you have questions, if you want to know the things please don't hesitate to shoot me a text or a message or even a phone call and we can make some groups happen. We can do some things. I'm not very good technology-driven and I made it through this message this morning. I know some of your saying amen because I only went 30 minutes. I never preached that short, but hey, I was able to do it this morning. So anyway, my family hears not amen and Hallelujah very off the message if they would have then I would have preached probably another 15-20 minutes, but we're so glad that you are here and if there's any way that I can help you any way that I can Minister you during this time, please don't hesitate to reach out to me as I will be trying to reach out to you. Love you. Take care. Be safe wash and know that you are loved and you are in my prayers. Goodbye.
