Title: Resurrection Power makes all the Difference

Text: Phil 3:7—21

Proposition: You must have resurrection power in your life.

Question: How does this important event in history affect our lives?

*The Resurrection of Christ – Is it Important? 1 Cor. 15:13-14

·        The resurrection of Christ is essential to the Christian faith.

·        This historical event upon which Christian doctrine stands or falls.

·        The New Testament insists that belief in the bodily resurrection of Christ is a necessary condition of the Christian faith -- no one can be saved apart from it.

·         Romans 10:9: Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

·        The importance of the resurrection of Christ is further demonstrated in the regularity and enthusiasm with which it is preached as the early church grew.

·        Acts 2:31; 4:33; 26:23)

·        Almost every public witness to the Gospel points to the resurrection of Christ as the hope for all who desire salvation.

Q: Do we share this wonderful truth?

I.                 Resurrection Power is so powerful it can change a person’s values (Phil Ch. 3 vs. 7-8)

·         God changes a person from the inside out.

·         Many people today think money brings happiness. ( Ps. 52:7)

·         Some think fashion brings acceptance.

·         But, what is important to God? 1 Samuel 16:7

·         Different people have their own views on Life

II.             Resurrection Power is so powerful that it provides a superior righteousness (Phil 3:9)

·         Christians should live their lives with a right relationship with God.

·         Being a good person does not take any person to heaven.

·         We are all born sinners, we have no righteousness; trusting Christ as Saviour makes one righteous..

III.         Resurrection Power is so powerful that it encourages fellowship (Phil 3:10)

·         Sometimes Christians will suffer - Gal 2:20

·         Paul preached the gospel; he suffered much persecution. Did Paul stop serving God?

·         Christian, Stand for what you believe.

·         The resurrection of Christ is the difference between other religions

after we trust Christ as our saviour?

1.    We have a New Righteousness – Phil 3:9-12

2.    We aim for New Goals in life – Phil 3:14

3.    We are promised a new home – Phil 3:20

4.    Glory to God, a Glorified Body! – Phil 3:21

主イエスキリストの　みなにより　おいのり　いたします。

よみがえりの力は全てに違いをもたらす

I.            よみがえりの力は人の価値観を変える（ピリピ３：７－８）

II.          よみがえりの力は神から与えられる義をもつ（ピリピ３：９）

III.       よみがえりの力は神との交わりの中にいれられる （ピリピ３：１０）

v  ガラテヤ２：２０―　私はキリストとともに十字架につけられました。もはや私が生きているのではなく、キリストが私のうちに生きておられるのです。いま私が、この世に生きているのは、私を愛し私のためにご自身をお捨てになった神の御子を信じる信仰によっているのです。
