The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and its consequences.
• The Holy Spirit works on the minds of the unsaved to show them the truth of God for what it is.
There are two distinct ways in which the Holy Spirit brings conviction:
• Through the preaching of the saints.
• Through the exercise of the spiritual gifts.
The reality of the Holy Spirit’s conviction in the lives of believers is:
• He brings illumination.
• He gives assurance about their new relationship with God.
• He convicts of the need for constant change.
