10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

II. intro- Whistleblower Act..

In the late 70s into the 80s there were many injustices that were going on.. Certain people begin to rise to power and achieve prestigious positions .. In the beginning only very few people realized what was going on..

at the same time there was a transformation in the body of Christ that was taking place… Many children and grandchildren of the Azusa street revival were getting older…

the moving and shaking was about to come to an end.. new denominations had formed and beginning to be formed..

but through it .. most americans value system was still somewhat biblically based.. because about 85% of americans values where biblically based on their understanding.. or someone elses..

a clash was taking place…in the natural… in society .on the job.... A great number of people were being bullied…threatened .. intimidated.. ..

the diffrence between lower.. middle and upper class had begun to grow.. the importance and prestige of having a certain title or position had begun to grow...

and because it had grown.... the desire.. the ambition for those things grew as well… so people began to do things that may have seemed borderline in the beginning to get those things…

as more and more people begin to do shady things many people had to make a choice to STAND..

someone shout STAND..

many people had to make a choice to stand on their values.. because their values where linked to the word of God.. or to walk .. or look the other way..

in 1989 .. the government came up with the Whistleblower Act..

this act / law said it was unlawful for a company to retaliate against an individual because they took a STAND…

someone say STAND..

when they noticed .. saw.. heard and investigated the allegation and it was confirmed to be true..that someone had .. or where in the process of doing something that was unlawful and it was causing or had caused harm to someone else..

III. the wayside

over the next several years because of the intimidation that was carried out by questionable individuals that where hired by companies and organizations.. Our american value system was once again being transformed..

by the late 1990s the american value system had all but feel by the wayside … the difference between .. lower .. middle.. and upper class people .. was at an all time high… .. by any means necessary became the slogan for success..

and self gratification and greed was the high that everyone was chasing… so much so.. that many churches begin to preach the doctrine of grace…

that you can do what ever you want to.. and God will forgive you… once saved always saved.. they began to require that you show them your check stubb and have your tithes drafted from your account to the church..

men and women began to wake up one morning and make a conscious decision to become a preacher .. pastor .. bishop..or apostles.. because it was a way to easy money .. and you get to have a fancy title..

IV.. 2020

Here we are in 2020 and as we look around it looks more like a terminator movie… than home of the brave and land of the free...

more and more people .. do the same thing.. day after day… week after week.. year after year… and expect a different result...

… by the way .. the definition of insanity.. is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results..

now im not calling anyone crazy but… your actions are telling off on you..

in 2020 …20 years after the world was supposed to end… when we look around..more people are condemned … fired… ridiculed.. for doing whats right …instead of doing whats wrong...

we have more and more people who find it hard to believe in a God they cannot see… because society has placed more importance on the tangible .... things in life rather than the super natural..

yes we continue to go to church .. when we feel like .. rather than out of a burning desire to know God...

society .. and social media says.. you dont have an effective ministry unless your church is full…its no longer about souls being saved… delivered and set free… but its about butts in a seat..

i lose control and something takes over me...

because he is holding it up…

i see the enemy .... the bible says the wiles of the devil..

i see the devil hodling up your blessing..

holding up your miracle..

your deliverance...

i see lust holding up your blessing

i see attitudes holding up your miracle

see you feeling and emotions holding it up..

i see adultry holding it up..

i see your conivying spirit .. holding it up.

your lying spirit holding it up..

your cursing spirit holding it up..

your low self esteem

your depression and oppression mind set

your woe is me attitude..

your im not going make it attitude..

your negative and gossip talking self..

i see fear holding it up..

Dont you know that these are all tricks of the enemy… the bible says… the devil.. is walking to and fro… the devil is on his grind.. he is tying to destroy and kill you anyway he can...

he may not have a gun to your head… but he has you bond by depression… and woe is me. attitude...

i said the bible said rejoice.... somebody rejoice..

the devil may not have a knife to your wrist… but he has you lusting and getting all hot and bothered.. to the point where you feel like you just have to have a man..or a woman..

and when you get caught into all that.. thats just like slitting your wrist.. becasue you start bleeding out.. little by little..

and little by little you start spending more and more time with this man or woman.. and less and less time with God.. and before you know it… your so weak .. you just give it on up..

but the bible says

1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV 1900

13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

so in other words.. go hop in a cold shower and get yourself together… Allow God to keep you unitl he sends you the right one.. men until you find the right woman..

VII. Stand

the bible says Stand.. and make sure you do all that you can do.. and after that… stand..

you may be wondering .. well how do i stand .. bro tony… well.. guess what its. in the word..

in the text and chapters that proceeded .. our text… that came before our text… Paul explained salvation and explained what it will take to live a holy and separated life… what to do to live for GOd...

He says finally my brethren.. as a since of unity.. and equality.. . we need to.. you need to be strong in the Lord and the power of his might..

its not going to be able to win off your stregth… because we are not fighting.. wrestling against flesh and blood ..

but against .. principalities.. .. small groups and spiritual empires… against powers… witches and warlocks… and spiritual wickendness.. in high places… against devils and demons..

and even though these demons are working through fleshly creatures… this is still spiritual war..

so th eonly way your going to survive..

the only way your going ot be able to make it....

the only way your going to be able to beat depression..

over come lust

control your mouth

get delivered from a woe is me attitude

is by putting on the whole armor of the lord…

you dont see soldiers go into war with just pieces of their equipment.. but they put on… and grab every piece of equipment needed for that assignment…

and for this spiritual warefare we need..

-our lions girt about with truth.. get rid of that lying spirit.. that sneaky and convyving spirit

-the breast plate of rightousness… God create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit in me

-your feet shod.. covered with the preparation of the gospel of peace… meaning you have read your word.. and every move you make.. is in the word..is in the will of GOd..

-and above all the shield of faith… that way every time.. the enemy comes at you.. shoots at you… your faith says.. no weapon formed against me shall prosper… .. everything that comes you will be able to swap it away.. because your faith says...

not today.. aint no body got time for that..

and take the helmet of salvation.. your mind has been transformed..consecrated and regulated.. that .. i can do all things thru christ that strengthens me..

and sword of the spirit.. which is the word of God.... that evry time the enemy get close you will be able to cut him.. by doing what jesus did…

everytime th enemy says … you aint gone never be nothing… . you will be able to sya.. it is written...

by saying the bible says…

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

VII. stand

before i sit down.. before we move into communion…

i have to tell somebody today.. its time for you to stop going with the flow… its time for you to stop getting scared and giving in…and not saying anything..

its time for you to Stand.. its time for you to stand for whats right.,. stand for rightousness.. stand for holyness.. its time for you to stand up agaisnt the tricks of the enemy…

the bible says in Daniel the 10 chapter the 11 vesres..

the angel of the Lord said .. Daniel you are precious in Gods sight…so listen carefully to what i have to say to you… as a matter of Fact.. Stand up ..

then verse the 18th verse said .. the angel touched him and his streghth return...

somebody here today feels like your figthting a loosing battle .. and hasnt repsonded.. but im here to tel you that God heard you.. and that he is strenthing you right now...

i pray that the strength of God falls in this place… Lord touch here.. touch by your power .. touch by your might.. revive us… give us the strength we need to stand..to fight
