Holy Spirit Download (Part 4) 3-1-20 “Led by the Holy Spirit” The fruit (effect, result, offspring or benefit) of the Holy Spirit: Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV) (1) Love (agapē: ag-ah´-pay; we must first receive God’s love, apply to ourselves, then to others), (2) Joy (cheerfulness, calm-delight; knowing regardless; you’ll see Jesus & live eternity w/the Father), (3) Peace (harmony & concord w/God; quietness, rest, set at one again), (4) Longsuffering (patience, endurance, slowness in avenging wrongs), (5) Gentleness (kindness, moral excellence in character and demeanor), (6) Goodness (virtue or beneficence; actively doing good things/deeds), (7) Faith (trust in and reliance upon God through Jesus Christ – who is the messiah), (8) Meekness (humility, mildness), (9) Temperance (self-control – especially over one’s sensual appetites): against such there is no law. Every Christian Must Acquire the Divine Nature of God 2 Peter 1:4 (KJV) Love 1 John 4:8, & 1 John 4:16, Holiness 1 Peter 1:16 & Hebrews 12:10, Grace & Mercy 2 Chronicles 30:9, Righteousness Daniel 9:14, Faithfulness 1 Corinthians 10:13 What we must add to our faith (trust in & reliance up God thru Jesus Christ)? 2 Pet. 1:5-7 (KJV) (1) Virtue (moral excellence, valor, modesty, purity); (2) Knowledge (moral wisdom, right living among others); (3) Temperance (self-control, especially sexually); (4) Patience (cheerful or hopeful waiting); (5) Godliness (reverence, respect, holiness toward/of/about God); (6) Brotherly Kindness (Philadelphia, fil-ad-el-fee´-ah; brotherly kindness, love of the brethren); (7) charity (agapē: ag-ah´-pay; God’s beneficial & unconditional love). ***If these things increase in you, you will be fruitful & never fall away from God (2 Peter 1:8-10) Our Ultimate Goal; to be Led by the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) • Sonship comes to those who are led by the Holy Spirit – Romans 8:14 (AMP) • Jesus, our example, was led by the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) Luke 4:1 (KJV) • Deliverance (casting out demons) is by the Holy Spirit Matthew12:28 (AMP) • Simeon, a devout man, was led by the Holy Spirit to the temple to see Jesus Luke 2:27 (KJV) • Agabus, a prophet, was given a prophetic revelation by the Holy Spirit Acts 11:28 (KJV) • We are washed, sanctified & justify by Jesus and by the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:11 (KJV) • What we say/believe about Jesus is ultimately by the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:3 (KJV) • The supernatural gifts belong to & are given by the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:8 (KJV) • As we reflect Jesus in/upon our lives, we are change by the Holy Spirit 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV) • God reveals His mysteries to His apostles & prophets by the Holy Spirit Ephesians 3:5 (KJV) • Jesus Christ was quickened by the Holy Spirit & so will we 1 Pet. 3:18 (KJV)
