1.
Must beware of the trick of selfishness.
Romans 15:1-3
2.  Must beware of the trick of grumbling.
These false teachers used flattering words and grumbling to cause decension in gossip the church.
They used well pleasing words, in other words they told the people what they wanted to hear, rather than what they needed to hear.
Some commentators have noted that Jude’s use of “murmuring” or “grumbling” here refers to complaining against God.
He then next uses another word for complaining that refers to earthly complaining.
Some people are just never happy.
This is not the mark of a Christian.
Jesus said, “I have come that you might have life, and have it more abundantly.”
These false teachers that had wormed their way into the church sought to under mind the leadership of the church.
We have a responsibility to pray for our church leadership
We have a responsibility to support our church leadership
3.  We must beware of the trick of getting physical.
There is a difference between living in the spirit and living in the flesh.
That is what Jude is talking about.
For these false teachers, everything is about how it feels, how it pleases, what the world of public opinion says.
For the Christ follower, everything is about what Jesus says and God’s Word Commands.
" I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh."
(Galatians 5:16, NKJV)
"If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
(Galatians 5:25, NKJV)
