Committed
Committed
The man’s friends were committed to him.
They were committed to BRING him to Jesus.
They were committed to BRING him to Jesus.
The cities of Galilee were crowded and the streets were narrow.
Carrying someone on a bed/stretcher through those streets without the crowd would have been a challenge.
In order to bring people to Jesus, it takes commitment!

Who would have THOUGHT to climb up on the roof?
Who would have THOUGHT to climb up on the roof?
When the way is blocked, you have to be willing to think outside of the box.

Their courage to take a drastic step, connected with the heart of Jesus.

“Seeing THEIR faith,...”

It absolutely matters who you choose to be a part of your life.
What friends do you have that would go to this length for you?
“...FRIEND...”
“...FRIEND...”
“…your SINS are FORGIVEN you.”
“…your SINS are FORGIVEN you.”
They likely were hoping for a physical healing...
We have no idea how Jesus will choose to work in the lives of those we bring to Him.
It is not ours to determine what God should do, but to honor Him in what He chooses to do.
Complaint

“Who can forgive sins, but GOD ALONE?”
“Who can forgive sins, but GOD ALONE?”
Notice who complained, not the man who was paralyzed, not the friends who had carried him, cut the hole and lowered him into the room, but the hypocritical religious leaders.
Without realizing it, they had answered their own question.
There will be people who don’t understand why you believe in Jesus’ power to change lives.
All you can do is ignore the critics and keep bringing people to Jesus.
