Hey, man. If you got your Bibles, we are going to take a look again at some of the strangest verses in the Old Testament Genesis chapter 6 1/2 for let me remind you of the weirdness. When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born unto them the sons of God saw the daughters of man were attractive and they took as their wives any they chose then the Lord said my spirit shall not abide in man forever for he is flesh his days shall be 120 years. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also afterwards whenever the sons of God came into the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the Mighty Men Who were of old the men of renown? last couple weeks I Spend some time explaining a couple Central truths about understanding and studying the scriptures especially scriptures like this couple weeks ago. We looked at the reality that the Bible is written in a specific time and place. It has a context and much of the Old Testament, especially the new as well are written in that context as a polemic the written to challenge and correct and contradicts that the cultural Narrative of the day. We also spend some time last week really thinking about the supernatural quality of the worldview. That is a spouse by the scripture which scripture is unapologetically Supernatural. Of course that is challenging for us because we live in a culture that minimizes and trivializes anything that has even a whiff of the supernatural now, we love it in our art in our movies in our TV shows but actually embrace a supernatural reality really Cuts against the grain of a modern scientific materialist in the world today, but the Bible was not written by or for a modern scientific material is it was written in a context that understood and appreciated the reality of a supernatural world. The last week we looked at kind of the breadth of scripture and how it describes those that inhabit the realm of the heaven. We have one Creator God who makes the heavens and the Earth and he feels the heavens and the Earth. We are citizens Dennis spends of the Earthly realm we were created of spirit and of. We were made as physical embodied representatives of God in the Earthly Realm. But there are those that are like us and yet not like us maybe better said because they preceded us we are like them but not like them. There are those made by God for the Heavenly realm the supernatural reality. They are not embody. They are Spirit not Flash. and they are varied and in a myriad of creatures in the Heavenly realm much like there is in the Earthly realm and the heavens and the Earth were not created to be independence of each other but to exist in a grand symbiosis of God's design the heavens and the Earth were created to be together. God would have his spiritual family died would have his Earthly family and together. They would make up the kingdom.

We seen a Genesis that didn't quite work out that way because of rebellion Rebellion both in the spiritual realm the Heavenly realm and rebellion in the Earthly realm in both Realms God's creatures chose to reject the authority and sovereignty of God and go their own way.

Last week we talked about angels. How about we talk about demons this week?

I had some fun this morning. I was wondering around talking to several of you and I said it had quick quick question. What are demons? I got a lot of deer in a headlight looks as fun and then a lot of people going. Well, I think I know what they are, but I don't want to say it cuz he's going to I think if I had the time to sit down with most the common narrative, is that demons if you accept their reality. And I accept their reality. If you accept the reality the common views that demons are the fallen angels that rebelled with Lucifer and we're cast down and now they become demons. That is the common view in American evangelicalism. It's just not really the biblical View and I want to unpack for you this morning a little bit of that reality because at Genesis 6 One of the primary reasons that I believe it was written by Moses and put in the Book of Genesis was to explain the origin and the reality of evil spirit. So you're going to have to come with me on this ride. Are you ready? Okay, that's the best answer.

That's the best answer. Let me remind you of how Genesis 6 serves as a polemic Genesis 6 is written in the ancient near East in Mesopotamia and Babylonian culture and that it's not written to tell people that there was a flood. Everybody knew there was a flood. We have ancient documents from every ancient Mesopotamian culture describing a flood. They all had their own interpretation of the flood Genesis 6 is not written to tell people. Hey guys, there was a flood Genesis 6 is written to tell people why there was a flood what the reasons were about the flood and it's written specifically to tell people hate you think the flood was all about this, but it's actually all about this. So for us to understand the nature of that polemic, we need to understand the story that was being told. In ancient Babylonian Mesopotamian culture the story of the flood went like this the great God marju can his other gods created Humanity to be their servants the gods needed to eat and drink they needed housing. I needed clothes and they didn't want to waste their time doing all that stuff. So they create humans to take care of them different cosmology and understanding of God, then is portrayed in Genesis 1 2 and 3. Is it not you see the polemic nature already taking place at the inhumanity proliferates and they're taking care of them, but they're noisy. They're just rude dumb animals and their noisy and they they interrupt his sleep. And so one day he's like I'm going to kill them all.

So he sends a great flood to wipe them out. back up a little if in the midst of that they created Humanity, but there were other kind of Godlike beings called the up call Lou that were sent down to humanity to teach them the secrets of the Mysteries of the heavens. Teaching them about technology and magic and all sorts of weird and wonderful thing things that were not meant for the Earthly round things that were meant for the spiritual things that were brought in Marduk was not happy about the op call of doing that interesting enough in the Babylonian Legend and understanding the app call Luby's Divine beings came and they were with humanity and they were teaching humanity and they saw that women were pretty and they intermingled with them. Marty was not happy about that. So in the great flood where he wiped out the noisy humans. He also destroyed the app calling. The teachings and the wisdom of the apkallu. We're still around and there are some other apkallu after the great flood but they're not pure apkallu their 3/4 apkallu or 1/3 apkallu. They are descendants of mating with human women. we have ancient texts describing this from from these cultures with names that you're probably familiar with figures like Gilgamesh when the Babylonian account was 2/3 apkallu a great king and by the way of giants We have this rich and varied.

Story Miss and I say Miss not to say it's a fancy Smith isn't actually specific term that describes any story that deals with the divine. If you have any stool story that is interacting between the spiritual realm and the natural realm it's falls in the category of Misfits mythological because it's describing how the heavens and the Earth are interacting. We hear math and we go Fable story falsehood untrue. That's not what miss me. We have this story. the Babylonian X-Men when you read through scripture we can get away from Babel. Babylon rises again and again and again it is this it is this symbolic, but actual real literal place this symbolic Kingdom that represents Man X attempt to have a kingdom without God.

The Pride

The pride of Babylon in ancient world is hard to describe and almost impossible to overstate they believed they were the height of humanity because of the wisdom and the teaching that the app called who had given them. They look at the app called you as Heroes gave them wisdom that the great Mar. Duke didn't want them to have they were the heroes and their offspring. They're off screen with a great man and King.

They were giants in stature and giant in accomplishment.

was the story of the flood and its causes and consequences in the world in which the Bible was written. The Bible says Hey guys. Yep. There was a flood. And yep, there were divine beings that had relations with women and yep. They produced giant Offspring but no they were not good and no they were not Heroes and no God does not destroy Humanity because they were noisy but because of the proliferation of evil In other words Babylon thinks that what is evil is good. And what is good is evil that by nature is the reality of a kingdom that stand opposed to God.

It is the fruit. That's this of eating fruit.

when we established a kingdom where we determine what is good and evil, what is right and wrong we will Inevitably whip it completely upside down. Call what is evil good. And what is good evil is exactly what Babylon has done and that is exactly Spirits rights to us of this flood narrative and explains a difference story line. Let's take a look at it again. When man began to multiply on the face of the land, which is what man was supposed to do right? God created them be fruitful and multiply their they're still carrying out the creation mandate. Daughters were born to them that doesn't mean only daughters were born to them that would end the reproduction really quickly. But in terms of this story this is what's important. They did have daughters. And they were Lookers the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive every teenage boy in the room set.

And this is where?

Something really bad from the kingdom of God perspective happens and they took as their wives. Any they Chuck now these were the sons of God I've tried to do my best to let a case of these are these are supernatural beings. These are Divine beings from the Heavenly Realm. They leave their realm to enter around not for them. They take something for themselves. That doesn't belong to them the language here in Genesis chapter 6 is meant to remind you of Genesis chapter 3 think about remember Genesis chapter 3 Eve saw that the fruit was pleasing and useful and she took it. Language she saw it and she took it. When we see in Genesis chapter 6 the sons of God see the women and they are attractive and they took it. You're meant to draw the connection Genesis chapter 3 is describing Mankind's Rebellion against the kingdom of God. Now, there's already been a supernatural Rebellion because we have than the cost of a serpent involved in that for now. What were what we have here is another rebellion, and it's not primarily a human Rebellion. It has human consequences, but it is eight Supernatural Rebellion the sons of God are rejecting their place and their role in God's kingdom they rebelled against they enter the Earthly realm they take for themselves what they want. What's Happening Here is we have supernatural beings that are setting themselves up as God. I want you to think about what's happening here, but this is not their coming down. They are taking women for themselves and they are creating Offspring in their image.

You can't you can't read Genesis 6 without Genesis 1 2 3 firmly in your mind. They are trying to reproduce for themselves their own kingdom without God. I think they're also trying to negate the promise of the seed in Genesis chapter 3. The promise of the sea that one day of seed of the woman would come who would destroy the seed of The Serpent and would destroy the serpent. How can you have a seed of the woman? If you Manatee is corrupt. If if if if if we if he's Divine beings come and mate and and destroy. It would have been thinking about DNA but they would have been thinking about Bloodlines. They would have been thinking about the purity of humanity Woman made in the Imago Dei. The image of God. There are are humans made in the image of these Divine beings. They don't got to worry about God's promise anymore. You see that with me this morning.

These Divine things come. And they got stablish themselves on the earth. They're reproducing and establishing cities and Kingdom.

God's not super happy about it. Until it says this then the Lord. God said my spirit shall not abide in. And I added a little bracket in here because that can also be translated. I think it should be translated contend with man forever. What they should be a hundred and twenty years. But if you take a literal interpretation of Genesis chapter 5 and then ages and the numbers people say see people live long and now God's limit in them to a hundred and twenty years. I think there's a lot of problems with that. I tried to lay that out when a preacher Genesis chapter 5, but even on a surface level people don't live to 120 years like exclusively. That's just not the way it works. You got to think we got to read this in context. So we have this massive rebellion of the sons of God, they come down to the Earth. They start establishing their own little kingdom. They're taking women. They're reproducing and gods like not going to let this go on forever. You got a hundred and twenty years and then something's going to happen. What's going to happen the flood? That's what this chapter is about. Let's keep going.

Where on the earth in those days? and also afterwards whenever sons of God came into the daughters of man and they were children to them. These were the Mighty Men of old the men of renown.

Steel interesting word We're not used to hearing or saying. It is a word that literally means Giant. What do mean? The Giants were on the earth in those days. In other words The Offspring of the sons of God the Benny aloe King and human women were different. They were not just human. They were human and they were a hybrid that was not design or orchestrated by God. It was not supposed to be they were. an aberration to the design of the Creator and the kingdom

Hartley Flash Bartlett spirit in a different way

reality of that

Divine beings are so much more powerful than human beings. When you bring those two things together that the resulting Offspring is going to be powerful. Less powerful than a Divine being but more powerful than a human being.

I saw that the ancient world had their their stories their mythologies of not only the avocado but The Offspring of the opt all of these great Heroes. or part Divine part human

you're not supposed to be. Keep reading in Genesis chapter 6. The very next thing is that it says I don't have it up here. So it begins to talk about the result of this and that the evil of man time. began to flourish began to escalate to the point that it says every intention of the heart was continually always only evil. Wife because evil Rebellion against God was the foundation of Mankind's Kingdom.

without and in spite of God

apollonian songs say all these Divine beings gave us goodness, and they were Our Saviors in our heroes. Scripture says they came to destroy you. And turn you away from God.

Unless we think. The Genesis 6 wonderful or is just really a weird 4 verses that has nothing else to do with the rest of scripture. I want to propose to you this morning that you won't understand the rest of Genesis or the rest of the Old Testament, especially the conquest of the promised land without an understanding of Genesis. 6 1 2 4 because it sets the stage for the rest of the story.

Go ahead a little bit and Genesis 2 chapter 15. See we're really flying.

When God chooses Abram this is after battle account. I can't wait to get the chapter 11, but we'll get there from it when God makes a covenant with Abram. That Abram is going to be the father of God's people. He makes his Covenant with them and an after making the Covenant God says this to Abram the Lord said to Abram know for certain that your Offspring will be so the nerves in a land that is not theirs and they will be slaves servants there and they will be afflicted for 400 years. This is before Abraham and Sarah. I had Ishmael and his handmade had Ishmael or Abraham and Sarah had Isaac this before that. Says amazing things, but just know at some point your offspring that I'm going to tell you. They're going to end up as slaves in a foreign place for 400 year.

yippee

I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve and afterwards they shall come out with great possessions.

You'd almost think God knows what's going on. Apps for you though. Don't worry. It's almost like I can almost see Abrams is freaking out. Don't worry Abram. You should go to your father's in peace. You'll be buried at a good old age.

And they shall come back here. in the fourth generation

Oh, this is such a weird little phrase. For the iniquity of the amorites is not yet complete.

You know Dad's playing a much bigger game than we think he is. There's more pieces on the board then we like to imagine. We're so narcissistic. I'm so narcissistic.

Here that I can hear it. We're so narcissistic. We think everything's about us. God loves us radically. Everything is not about us. There's more that's going on and I love this text because there's some stuff that's going to happen and it's going to look like not good stuff, but I want you to trust me because their stuff going on here.

Egypt thinks they're using you the god. That's like I'm going to use Egypt to prepare you to be the people that are going to bring judgment upon another people. I'm going to prepare you to be my instrument of judgements against the MRI. Who are the amorites thank you for asking. The amorites were historically archaeologically Damien people connected to Babylon. Used in the Old Testament interchangeably with the term Canaanites to describe. People that lived in the land of Canaan that were not descendants of Abraham. Does a generalized term for those that live in the land of promise the land that God is actually promising in Genesis 15 the text that we just read if you keep reading hear God describes the boundaries of the land that he's going to give them and God is very clear that in order to give them that land he's going to have to take that land away from those that have not rightfully cleaned it.

This is not going to happen for Foreigner here.

When I come they're going to take out the amorites they're going to bring God's righteous judgement against the MRI. Now everytime amorites is used in the Old Testament. It's used in a negative. dark and a a supernatural spiritual connotation specifically of giant Those that had great stature those that had great stature when you come across that in Genesis, or the rest of the Scripture. It is directly referring to back to 6124. Where do the Giants come from? Where did those that are greater than normal Humanity come from?

And we like we're so funny and evangelicalism. We don't we don't really want to believe in Giants. I mean except for Goliath cuz that's such a good Sunday School Story.

And imagine if we went through I said how many Giants are there in the Bible you be like walk Eliason? Maybe for many of you. That's all you think of but they're they're all throughout the Old Testament. There are Clans and tribes that Trace their ancestry where to the Nephilim

after the conquest the prophet Amos.

Does this God says this to the prophet Amos I'll say it that way. It was I who destroyed the Amorite before them whose Heights was like the height of the Cedars and she was as strong as the Oaks. I destroyed his fruit above and his roots beneath. Also it was I who brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you 40 years in the wilderness to possess the land of the Amorite.

If you don't see the connection between that and Genesis 15, you're not paying attention. This is hundreds of years. God promises this to Abram 400 years before it happens to go to Egypt. I'm going to bring you out of Egypt and I'm going to use you to bring judgment upon me. I'm right now hundreds of years after it happens. God speaks through a mess and says, hey, do you remember that? I'm true to my word you remember that? I brought you out of Egypt and that I used you to destroy the amorites.

Most of us and I get this we read the Bible we come across these phrases amorites when I don't know who they are keep reading going to keep reading until I find something useful for me. Right. I'm just going to read the Bible tell it speaks in a way that warms my heart. Amazon I love it when the Bible warms my heart and it does it quite often. The Bible is not primarily. A fundamentally given to warm your heart. The Bible is not even written to you. It's written for you, but it's not written to you. It's not God's love letter to you. Oh, I know. They told you at Youth Camp that that's what it was the god. Sat down like a lovelorn teenager and wrote a love letter to you. That's garbage. That's not it. It's not what it is.

It's a description of God's interactions with creation and humanity. And yes, it includes you would have thought about you about him.

We have to learn to read the scripture and frankly when we find stuff that we don't understand. That's where we should drill down. When you read a verse that says and the amorites and I don't know what the amorites are. That's what you should be thinking about. Because it's not a throwaway word or meaningless. It's giving the context of what the text is actually saying.

So when we get to the conquest.

Dog brings the people out of Egypt leads them to the border of the promised land Moses sends the 12 Spies into the land. And what do they find in the lamp?

We brought the people of Israel bad report of the land that they had spied out saying the land through which we have gone out to spy the land that devours its inhabitants and all the people that we saw in it are of Great Heights

most famous writing Genesis is not writing it to describe the height of people like it's not a throwaway verse and it's not meaningless description when it when they say they are of great height everybody that's listening to the Spy knows and understands Genesis chapter 6, they know and understand who and what then the filum are there saying. This is a land where the nephilim's well it is a land of giants.

And they made us feel bad. Rights, and we saw in the film The Sons of a knack come from the film and we seemed to ourselves like grasshopper.

And so we seem to them.

amazing got it. Just brought them out of Egypt. They just witnessed the 10 plagues. They'd walked across the dry Red Sea. They saw the seat collapse. Upon pharaoh and his army, they'd received the Ten Commandments. God had led them out of Egypt loaded with the wealth of Egypt and now they get up to the border and I like I think we can do it.

Why?

Before we get too harsh on them.

They're being asked by God. to be an instrument of judgement against a supernatural rebellious creation. That is far more powerful than they are. I think it makes all the sense in the world that they're terrified.

Dealing with Pharaoh. A human King is one thing dealing with the Nephilim these Divine quasi Divine. Human Kings is a whole other bag of tea. And so they choose not to do it if you know the story God's like, okay. I'm not giving up on my plan cuz there's got to do that. Thank God he doesn't all of you who just voted not to do this. You're going to wander around in the wilderness for 40 years until you all die.

And then I'll start with a new generation and we'll go in and that's exactly what happened around super naturally provided for by got the grace of this is amazing. The soles of their shoes does not where I they're giving Manna and quail got to give them fresh water when it God takes care of them. But at the end of 40 years that generation I died out the new generation comes up and now God takes them into the land on a mission of Conquest.

In the conquest narratives are difficult for us to read culturally there violent there Jenna Seidel. And it strikes us in our cultural.

reality as unjust and evil and wicked and wrong and there's a proliferation of books written recently. About God's moral and Justice in the conquest.

And if you read it, simply on a materialistic natural reading I can see where some of that may be going. But when you frame it in the context of the story, it's a different story.

the descendants of this Divine rebellion in Genesis chapter 6

still stirring things up and moving Humanity towards wickedness.

in other words Genesis 6 reveals But our problem was wickedness is bigger than what we think it is. That there's an internal component to evil and wickedness that Genesis chapter 3 we've been corrupted. in our Rebellion But there's also external wickedness and there are levels and layers of external wickedness.

They make a difference. 40 years later in the conquest we get to Deuteronomy chapter 3

Get a map and Atlas get Deuteronomy start charting how they go on The Conquest that's very intentional in how he leads them. And where he leave them who he has them leave alone and who he has them destroy has one common thread. the connection Savannah film if they're connected to the nephilim's they're destroy if they're not connected in the film. They're left alone. Purpose here y'all.

This is one of the instances we have. Stay with me. It's going to connect you're going to like this. We turn and went up the way to. but Sean Oh, that's either weren't here last week. You're missing out.

The king of Bashan came out against us he and all his people to battle at edry but the Lord said to me do not fear Him. I have given him and all his people into his and his land into your hand and you shall do to him as he did decide on the king of the amorites who lived it has spawned him. We're only on the king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the rephaim. The ref am is another term that used to describe the Nephilim. the whole is bad was a bad of iron is it not in rabab ammonites 9 cubits was its length for 2 minutes its breath according to the common to both of the shop was a giant

until they come in and it commanded to destroy him. I need it.

Okay, Jeremy. I thought this was going to be about demon.

It actually has been. We're just not used to seeing it this way.

when a Divine being comes in mates with a human being and produces an offspring. They're not the vine and they're not human. There's something not intended by God.

When they die what happens to them? Who are what do they become? The Bible uses specific terminology to talk about them the most common we just saw is refereum. It means the great Kings of the Dead. The dwell in a specific place in she or they have a unique judgment upon them because they are unique creature. They were not ultimately God is the creator of all the God didn't create them. God's design them. They are the fruit of rebellion and sin and when they die The physical body is destroyed. That's what happens in the flood. What happens in the conquest? They can be killed their physical embodied life can be taken but just like us there more than a body, but they're actually more of a spiritual. Where do they go? What happens to them? biblically

the picture that is painted is it demons or unclean spirits or evil spirits are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim?

What I was told in Sunday school that their fallen angels and I'm like, I know you were taught that in Sunday school. I was to the only problem is nobody told us where in the Bible it says that I think might take you to Revelation, but that's talking about a rebellion that took place at the birth of Christ that the reality is. Scripture does it talk about fallen angels as forces of evil? That's if he's in chapter 6 we look at that last week, but they're not called demons. They're the word Des Moines in the Greek is not used there. If used After the flood and especially in the gospels of evil unclean spirits. They are Spirit Beast. They're not called Angels. They're not called cherubim. They're not called any of the other things that we looked at. They are a unique creation.

I've never heard that before I know and that's tragic. Cuz I'm not making this up in this is not new information.

I think there's a variety of reasons why we haven't heard this before 1 because the culture of American church is quickie easy theology that's centered and personal fulfillment and narcissistic warm feelings. We don't teach and preach the breadth of the word. We don't we don't think critically about the difficult passages. We moved past the hard passages to easy good stuff. Most Evangelical churches ignore the Old Testament just focus ignoring all the focus on the new but you can't understand the new without understanding the foundation of the old.

I did it last week. Let me do it again. Let me tell you a story from the New Testament. in the life of Jesus It's totally refrain in the light of Genesis 6 1 2 4.

Mark chapter 5

They came to the other side of the sea to the country of the gerasenes.

And we do what most of us do I don't know where that is, but all right.

What where it where is the gerasene?

shamik impish on the territory of the Sean. We're just at the Cadian. It's pathan. Michonne or the song? Do you know what they both mean? the meme serpent But Sean is the land of the serpent. Oh, yeah, I'm sure that's coincidental.

We came to the other side of the seat of the country of the gerasenes. And when Jesus had stepped out of the boat in mediately there met him out of the Tomb a man with an unclean spirit.

lived among the two think about the imagery that's being painted. This this man is unclean. He lives in the tombs. He lives in the land of death in is He lives among the graves among the tombs this man. Who is made by God to bring order and life to the world is dwelling in a place of death consumed by an unclean spirit?

No one could bind him anymore. Not even with a chain break it off and then bound with shackles and chains, but he rents the chains apart and he broke the shackles in pieces. No one. Had the strength to subdue him. This is a violation and Corruption of the Imago Dei at its core.

Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains, he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones. when he saw Jesus from afar

she ran and fell down in front of Jesus. fascinating he runs and falls down before him and crying out with a loud voice. He said what do you want to do with me Jesus Son of the most high Josh?

The terminology there is significant importance not the first demon that Jesus has run into in the gospel of Mark that before Jesus is in when it when Jesus is in Israel, and he talks to the demons. They call him Jesus of Nazareth. That's where he is. Jesus's now step foot into the land of Bashan. He comes to this place showed you last week the Sean he goes up the Transfiguration declaration that he is Christ. He is declaring war. In the land of the serpent. On the work of the serpent.

And this demon eyes man comes and says Jesus you are the son of the most high God. I want you to take in your mind. We're going to come back to that later. Not not today later promise. I adjure You by God do not torment me. This demon is appealing to God. Did Jesus? freaky because Jesus was saying to them come out of the man you unclean Spirit. Jesus asked him. What is your name? He replied. My name is Legion for we are many. In other words, there's been this proliferation of Eva. This man has many spirits within him.

And he begged him earnestly not to send them out of the country.

It is that just a throwaway phrase. Don't send us away. This is our place. Don't don't send us away from here. We want to be here in the Sean.

A great herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside makes me hungry.

And They begged him saying. Send us to the pigs. Let us enter them. We want to leave here. You don't say we don't want to leave the man. They said we don't want to leave here. So send us into the pigs.

All of this has to be a logical Imaging send the unclean spirits into the unclean animals.

And then what happens come on now, are you are getting that are you seeing Genesis chapter 6 what happens so he gave them permission?

And the unclean spirits came out and entered the pig and a her number in about 2,000 rushed down the Steep Bank into the sea and drowned in the sea.

is redoing Genesis 6

in the flood going to fill them are destroyed their physical bodies are destroyed their cast out and are disembodied spirits of evil still dwell in the land of the shots. And now Jesus comes by or you can stay here going to pick where they go. They go into the sea the symbol the great symbol of chaos by God to destroy.

The unlawful creation the sons of God and the daughters of man.

That's weird and beautiful and wonderful stuff and we see that even Jesus in his ministry is doing so much more than we've given him credit for. Because Jesus did come to take away the sins of the world in Jesus did come to seek and to save the Lost In Jesus did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many, but Jesus also came. To destroy the works of the devil. And we see him and see if you got eyes to see if you understand the cultural context and historical miles view of what's going on. All the sudden this this demon-possessed man in the land of the serpent.

Being condemned to death in the sea. Text you back. Genesis chapter say And that original Rebellion? And the point of that is I think to Marvel at the faithfulness and the power. And the wisdom of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Who truly is the promised one the alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end? And he is the power above all powers. Amen.
