Jh 5 – healing of the paralytic at the pool of Bethesda. Jesus says, “"My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

What work does God do exactly?

General Providence

Special Providence

Miracles

But when does he work? What day of the week does God do his work? Every day. You mean even a day like today? Yes, just like today.

Daniel Story: Our God can save us from this, but if he does not   16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."

Job: “Though he slay me, yet will I serve him” – Hmmm

We do not always know how God is going to work or if he is going to act as we expect or wish, but those of us who follow him have seen him act often enough that we still trust and believe.

When have we ever seen God at work?

          In Scripture

          In history

          In our own lives. We know better than to test God, but we do trust him.
