Festus under the impression Paul was an enemy of Rome and Israel.
No Roman law broken. (Festus knows Roman law)
No Jewish law was broken (Festus is not familiar with Jewish law)
Festus finds Paul’s claim of a Living Jesus, absurd (This is why the Jews want Paul dead, because he both confesses a Living Jesus and can point to a living Jesus through the Scripture.)
Agrippa eager to hear Paul (Agrippa is familiar with Roman and Jewish law, he is also familiar with Paul who has traveled throughout the Roman Empire proclaiming the truth of Jesus. His curiosity drives his eager desire to hear Paul’s message.)
The contrast between the pomp of the royalty and the humility of Paul
Festus presents the case; Jews want Paul dead but Festus finds him innocent
Festus is seeking wise council in what charges to write ( Does not want to look like a fool before his emperor, should of thought of this before he tried to play politics)
