Election

A comfort

A reason to praise God

As an encouragement to Evangelism

It is not:

Fatalistic or mechanistic

Based on God’s foreknowledge of our faith

Foreknowledge of person, not facts

2 views: Grace alone

Something in man makes the difference: but then it is partly on our merit.

Election is unconditional

1 Timothy 2:4

3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. [1]
