Does the World Still Need Jesus?
The case Jesus makes for world evangelism
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,
46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead,
47 and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
48 You are witnesses of these things.
21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Why does the world still need Jesus?

Jesus is the only way to relationship with God.
Sin leads humanity toward destruction.
Hell is a real place.
Transformation can only happen by God’s grace through faith.
Jesus is the only hope for the world.
Why do we support missionaries?
Why do we support missionaries?
Missionaries are sent into the world (obedience to John 20:21)
Missionaries reach people we cannot reach.
Missionaries fulfill God’s redemptive plan to share the Good News.
What can we do?

Pray—pray for our missionaries!
Give—provide for our missionaries!
Participate in Faith Promise.
Philosophy of Faith Promise.
The responsibility is on each person in this church—it is not a budgetary matter.
What you give directly to missions through the offerings of this church is what goes out to support our missionaries (we do not give out of the General Fund).
This makes missions a personal responsibility.
Routine of Faith Promise (give at least monthly).
Go—consider going on the missions trip.
Barnabas and Saul Sent off
1 Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.
