Solomon the Son of David Who according to the book of Kings and in Chronicles he inherited the Kingdom at a young age he then feeling not up to the task of running a entire Kingdom called upon the Lord to help him to Give Him Wisdom that He may be a good King
1 Kings 3:3–14 NKJV
3 And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places. 4 Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. 5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” 6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. 9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” 10 The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, 12 behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. 13 And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. 14 So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

God Calls Whom He Will
“Jacob was a cheater, Peter had a temper, David had an affair, Noah was a drunk, Jonah ran from God, Paul was a murderer, Gideon was insecure, Miriam was a gossip, Martha was a worrier, Thomas was a doubter, Sara was impatient, Elijah was moody, Moses stuttered, Abraham was old,… and Lazarus was dead. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the CALLED!”

No matter where you are in your life with God, HE is qualifying you for his service because you are CALLED. He can help you overcome the mistakes you have made, and even use them to help others. Just allow Him to use you.
So sometimes you may be put into situation that you dont feel comfortable with. Maybe they feel out of your league or perhaps you feel inadequate unworthy or just not up to the task

1 Corinthians 1:27 NKJV
27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
2. Solomon Recognizes Gods Grace in His Life
There are a lot of Bible verses on grace that give us insight into God’s grace toward us as Christians. Grace in the New Testament comes from the Greek word charis and means good will, loving-kindness, and favour, which is unmerited.
It speaks of God’s mercy to us and his love for Lou Johnson a 1965 world series hero for the Los Angeles dodgers , tried for over 30 years to recover his championship ring he had lost to his drug dealers in a very dark part of his life. Drugs and alcohol had taken everything from lou everything but he memories, he lost his uniform his glove his bat that he used to hit the game winning home run. When Dodgers manager heard that the ring was up for sale for 3500 he immediately bought it. Lou had been clean for nearly 30 years at this point and Bob Granzio the manager of the dodgers returned the ring to Lou. He did for lou what lou could not do for himself. Lou was said to have said “ as he wept I feel like a part of me has been reborn”

Likewise Christians my beloved,
We testify to the spiritual grace and rebirth Through Jesus Christ He paid the price we could not pay for you Sin He walked upon the cross for you. For one that was undeserving of such a gift
Ephesians 2:7–9 NKJV
7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

1 Kings 3:6–8 NKJV
6 And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted.

James 4:6 NKJV
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
3. When we feel like we are in over our head fret not turn to God
Look how Solomon calls on God when he feel like he is not up to rule the Kingdom
Isaiah 40:30–31 NKJV
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

2 Corinthians 12:9–10 NKJV
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Philippians 4:13 NKJV
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
