16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the Lord hath given you the city.
17 And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the Lord: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
18 And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.
19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the Lord: they shall come into the treasury of the Lord.
20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

The mighty city of Jericho. We’ve heard the stories of these great walls. History records that the walls of Jericho were so massive that chariot races were held atop them. they were regarded as being impenetrable and impassable.
Children of Israel just coming off of a 40 year march through the wilderness. An entire generation has passed away. now…they are preparing to possess their promise and Jericho is the first test of their faith.
Until they have a victory under their belt, the are in affect still wondering. still traveling…still journeying…so lets just hurry up and get the 7 days of marching and the shout over with…lets move beyond all of the prelimenaries and lets get to possessing. But…wait...
Before the walls fall…there is a Rahab in the walls.
God has been preparing her.
We need to have faith that (1) there are people on our jobs. In our neighborhoods. In our police departments. waiting on our tables that are looking for something real in their lives. (2) that God has been preparing them.
Our Jesus loves you cards. I want to encourage you to spend time in prayer and fasting over those cards. God let me find that person that is going to be open to receive this cards.
Those 2 spies did not go into Rahabs house announcing they were spies…they went in appearing to be customers. I’m not suggesting that they did anything, nor am I encouraging that you give that a try…I’m simply telling you that they didn’t knock on Rahabs door and tell her…her we are about to destroy your city and we are here as spies before we bring the hammer down.
