Samson’s birth was the supernatural provision of God
Samson’s Mother could not get pregnant.
HIs mother prayed God that if God would give her a child, a male son, she would dedicate that child to God.
So she prayed and God gave her a male son named Samson.
His mother was so devoted to committed Samson to God as she promised in her prayer, she committed him to be a nazerite.
(NAZERITE -AN ISRAELY WHO DEDICATES THEIR LIFE TO THE PURPOSES OF GOD.
Samson excepted that he had a call and a assignment on his life and that he was committed to be a nazerite.
To be a Nazerite you had to make 3 committments.

You couldn’t Drink (tell your neighbor that counts you out off the back from being a nazerite.)

2. Being a Nazerite meant you could not cut your hair (He had dreds before dreds were in style)
From this narritive we know that Samsons strength was in the locks of his hair and God gave him supernatural strength.
I want to point out that its very interesting that the Bible gives us a lot on insight on hair. I believe when you read about hair in the Bible it is a symbol of character. I take from the fact that if his strength was in the locs of his hair it shows us that our strength as believers is not in what we do but who we are.....
Its not in the Job you have
It’s not in the Close you wear
It’s not in the type of house you live in
Our strength is that we have the character of Jesus birth on the inside of us....

Te Bible says John the Baptist wore Camels Hair, he dressed differently than everybody else. I take that as a fact that God wants us to act differently than the rest of the world.. Our character is not to be conform to what the rest of the world is doing. “AND BE NOT CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD BUT BE YE TRANSFORM BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND” - TRANSFORM = CHANGED....

3. To be a nazerite meant that he would not come near nor touch anything that was dead.
so these were the committments that nazerites made.
Samson is a guy who had and an assignment and a destiny on his, he had great purpose. As matter of Fact if you read through Chapters 13 -16 you’ll read about so of the great exploits that he had occured in His life.
For 20 years he served as a Judge in Isreal
He caught 300 foxes tied them together, put torches to their tails, sent those 300 foxes through the field of the enemy and burned up the enemies fields.
He took the jawbone of a donkey and killed a 1000 men by himself
When his enemies tried to tie him down and contain him , he was so strong that he was able to break the ropes that had to tie him down.
Samson with his bare hand killed a lion, HE HAD GREAT EXPLOITS!! HE HAD A GREAT ASSIGNMENT, HE HAD A GREAT DESTINY, HE HAD GREAT PURPOSE BUT BECAUSE HE COULD NOT GET HIS FLESH UNDER CONTROL HE ENDED UP ABORTING HIS DESTINY!!!
I am awfully afraid that we may have or know some decedents of Samson.....
We have some people who are about to compromise their destiny because they cannot get their flesh under control, they cannot get their life under control
Here is a guy who ended up missing out on everything that God had for him in spite of all of the provisions that God made for him, he ended up missing out and ended his life prematurely.
He ends up with his head in the lap of Delilah… He didn’t wake up in Delilah’s lap over night but as time moved he had small compromise after compromise after compromise and got him to where he was.
He had an infinity for women, he didn’t get there overnight it was small compromise.
Don’t you dare shake your head at Sampson, Whats your infinity, who or what is keeping you from your assignment, your destiny, your purpose....

Anytime you have purpose on your life a lion is going to come up against you. (Lion=PURPOSE)

2. He tore the lion apart with His bare hands because the spirit of the Lord was upon him and gave him the power.
(You need to know whatever that lion is, whatever that thing is, is can give you the strength and the power to overcome it and give you the victory) The young lions come but you can have the victory.
A guess what some of us have stuff on us now that has us bound, shackled, detained, bothered, but were allowing that lion, that thing to abort our God given assignments, destiny’s and purposes but GOD HAS THE POWER AND STRENGTH TO KILL WHATEVER THAT LION MAYBE, WHATEVER IT IS!!!! HE’LL KILL IT, HE’LL KILL IT, HE’LL KILL IT!!!!

3. Watch this: He goes back to get his wife and on his way back he see the carcus of the lion he killed.
Chapter 14:8 - a swom of bees and honey were in the carcus of the lion.

SAMPSON GOES OVER AND CHECKS OUT THIS CARCUS OF THE LION THAT HE KILLED AND NOTICES THERE IS SOME HONEY IN THE LION...
YOU GET IN TROUBLE WHEN GO TO CHECKOUT SOMETHING THAT GOD HAS KILLED IN YOUR LIFE...

HE WENT OVER AND TO NOTICE THERE WAS A SWOM OF BEES WITH HONEY IN IT, HE HAD TO GO DOWN AND LOOK INSIDE IT.... AND THATS WHAT GETS US IN TROUBLE, CHECKING ON IT, SEEING HOW YOU DOING, DRIVING BY TO SEE WHO’S CAR IS THERE,!!!!
HE CHECKED IT OUT, AND SAW WHAT HE LIKED, HE LIKE HONEY!!! TELL YOUR NEIGHBOR THAT CARCUS IS GOING TO COST YOU YOUR DESTINY ..
