o They eat and have a burst of self-consciousness
o They hid themselves—the entry of guilt
o From the presence of the Lord—lack of desire for God
• An attempt at recovery
o Self-improvement
o Denial of responsibility
• Signs of salvation
o God becomes initiator
o Man must confess his condition
o Judgment corresponds to the sin
o Judgment was permanent
o God’s judgment initiated hostility
Observations:
• Both Satan and the Savior will suffer
• Satan’s victory becomes his defeat
• Because of union with Christ, we have a part in the final defeat of Satan
