OUR CURSE, HIS CROSS

Galatians 3:13

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is

written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.’”

Galatians 3:13

n We are under the curse of God’s law.

4 We are guilty before Him.

4 We are condemned by Him.

4 We are separated from Him.

4 Our pride is set against Him.

4 Our hearts are hard toward Him.

4 Our lives are hopeless without Him.

n Christ came under the sentence of God’s judgment.

4 He covered our guilt.

4 He endured our condemnation.

4 He suffered our separation.

4 His humility overcame our pride.

4 His gentleness overcame our hardness.

4 His death overcame our hopelessness.

n We now stand within the grasp of God’s grace.

4 Three options:

e can ignore the curse.

e can work to overcome the curse.

e can embrace the curse and run to

th

e cross.
