TRUTH: At the presence of Jesus, nothing can stand against or prevail
There is no other god who can rescue. Jesus is our deliverer.

Q - Have you ever been in a situation before when you realized that there’s no other outcome?

Shadrach, Meschah, and Abednego found themselves in a foreign land refusing to bow down to the idol the king demanded everyone bow down to.
There’s three guys in the book of Daniel who found themselves about the same situation. Shadrach, Meschah, and Abednego found themselves in a foreign land refusing to bow down to the idol the king demanded everyone bow down to.

| The King’s Decree
This is a tragedy. Multitudes of people being forced to believe in a false god. When the horn blew, all the people bowed down to a piece of stone. Their hearts were led astray at the leadership with their leader.
| Deception & Summoned
Local men blow the whistle on Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and bring them in.
King confronts when about it.
Warns again of the consequences.
>> When you are living your life for Jesus, there will be people who do not like it and try to shut you down. (obvious and hidden ways).
S.M.A., it was a legit golden image. What about for us tonight?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
Daniel 3:16-
3:17 - Our God whom we serve is able to rescue us.
3:18 - If God does not rescue us today, we still will not bow down to your golden image.
Q - Why? Why would they be so peaceful and assured in making such a statement? If we burn up, we will still worship God?
A - God is the one true God. Their joy was found in knowing the only one God. Instead of committing idolatry, in joy they chose to be a martyr for God.
| The fiery furnace
We would think it’s over. Nothing changed the king’s mind. In this moment, does kingship belong to king Nebuchadnezzar? Why were they going into the furnace again to be punished? Answer: They were not going to worship the king’s false idol god. They were going to stay faithful to their God, the only true God: the LORD.
Therefore, the king turned up the heat, escorted them to the furnace, & threw them in.

27 And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.
Daniel 3:

Q - What do you need to take into the fire?

Jesus was waiting for them in the fire.
Everything we take into the fire with us burns up. Idols and earthly things burn up

It wasn’t just the 3. Another one was waiting on them to carry them out.

When you take your idols in the fire with you, they burn up.
Everything was consumed except them. The men taking them to the furnace, burnt up on the way.
The fire was undesirable. Jesus was there waiting on them. It was their situation and Jesus was faithful to be there. Jesus is able to deliver you. You have to be willing to approach the fire. You must deal with it.
It’s in the fire where the three saw Jesus. It’s in the fire where Jesus provided deliverance.

Jesus delivers when we approach and go into the fire
When you take your idolatry to Him
When you take your sin to Him
It’s in the fire where the boys saw Jesus.
When you take your fear to Him
When you take your anxiety to Him
Jesus is able to deliver you. You have to be willing to approach the fire. You must deal with it.
When you take your uncertainty to Him
When you take your unhealthy relationship to Him
When you take your doubt & confusion to Him
S.M.A did not get delivered from their death sentence by refusing to face the fire, but when they approached & entered in.
Some of you are still bound to all these things, because you’re leaving Jesus out of it. With all of it, go to the fire.
